What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox helps my business function. From syncing files between multiple machines to sending clients large files, Dropbox is at the core of our file management. Overall, I've been quite pleased with the performance and price point of Dropbox and would definitely recommend it.
What do you dislike about the product?
Overall, I'm quite pleased with Dropbox, so my "dislikes" are minor in overall scope. 1) On a Mac, the Dropbox options to share & transfer files seem to randomly and occasionally disappear. This has happened to me across multiple devices. 2) Once in a while, it seems Dropbox will take over the computer and start reindexing the entire Dropbox folder. This takes up an enormous amount of energy and CPU, resulting in the computer's fan running incessantly. It doesn't happen often, but when it does, it's very disruptive. 3) I've had clients share "Team" folders with me. Dropbox makes it impossible to move these folders into my own client organization system, meaning I have random client folders all over the top level of my otherwise neatly organized client files. It's resulted in lots of duplicated content and messes up my own internal system of managing files. I wish Dropbox would let me move these into my own Dropbox folder structure.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the issue of how to access company files across multiple devices and send large files to customers.
Great way to share and store large files - been using DB for over a decade
What do you like best about the product?
2 reasons: The ability to share files with anyone and manage the privacy of those files. 2. I do quite a bit of video editing so using DB helps with sharing large items that take up the most bandwidth.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the technology could use an update where DB adds a visual portfolio for example, flipsnack. Their layout is great for flyers, poster, brochures, etc.... basically a marketing portfolio of assets a team can choose from but the layout is simplified and there are images to the items vs. just folders.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing large files and organizing items
Best Online Storage Option!
What do you like best about the product?
Absolutely adore Dropbox, best online storage option out there. The amount of storage and the option to expand when needed is the best option for me, and it's super affordable! I like that it's universal and anyone can access as needed. It's something we use often for all kinds of documents, all located in a secure place.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that you need account to see certain documents, and whenever you create the account, it automatically tells you its out of storage.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drive storage. Dropbox has multiple plans of storage, where you can upgrade and downgrade as needed. It also makes it easy to navigate things.
Better than Onedrive & Google Drive
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox's simple syncing of files across devices and intuitive interface provide convenient collaboration and access to files. It's especially perfect for team collaborative projects and safe large-file transfer. Dropbox is quick and reliable, and it features excellent version history and recovery. It gets along well with applications such as Microsoft Office and Google Workspace, and it's great for remote access to vital documents.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free storage is a bit limited compared to others, and some of the more expensive features are walled off behind pricey plans. The desktop app can also be resource-hungry from time to time.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves the problems of fragmented and unused files using a cloud-based, centralized storage system. It keeps my files backed up in a correct manner, shareable from anywhere, and easy to distribute among other users. Dropbox has effectively streamlined my operations, reduced email clutter, and improved collaboration—especially working remotely or spanning time zones. Dropbox helps eliminate version control issues and waste of emailing big files back and forth. It provides a secure space for storing files, collaborative workspaces, and sharing client files. It leads to faster turnaround times, greater organization, and better team accountability.
