Automatic backups. Unlimited customization.

  • May 15, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It automatically backs up all of my photos in a way that is neater and much less invasive than Google Photos. I like my most important pictures to exist in at least two locations to ensure they are always accessible in case of a data loss. I worry more about my iCloud getting hacked than I do my dropbox account.

I also like that I can store all my important financial data and tax files in the cloud and have them heavily encrypted.

It is extremely easy to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
I like the ability to encrypt and decrypt files directly in dropbox using PGP encryption.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I basically use it as easy RAID storage with automatic cloud backups. I never worry about losing my data anymore.

Reliable and Efficient Cloud Storage for Team Collaboration

  • May 12, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
My favourite thing about Dropbox is its automatic file syncing and sharing. Files are updated in real time on all devices, which means our team always has access to the most current data and reports. The site makes collaboration a breeze with features such as permission-based sharing, folder structure, and version history. Its simple, easy-to-use interface also makes it easy for anyone to use, no matter their technical know-how.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Dropbox is extremely reliable, one of its downsides is the low free plan storage space, which may be limiting to teams that collaborate on large files. Also, the paid tiers are a little more costly than some competitors. Syncing occasionally can be affected if the internet connection is dodgy, but this is the exception rather than the rule. More folder permission customisation options for shared folders would also be a welcome addition.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox assists us in resolving a number of important issues at CrickPickStats.in—access to files, versioning, and collaboration. With members working from remote locations, Dropbox makes it possible for all to access the latest files at any time, on any device. The version history feature prevents data loss by enabling us to recover previous versions as and when necessary. Moreover, its secure sharing features minimize the risk of unintended file exposure and simplify collaboration with internal team members as well as external partners. Overall, it has optimized our workflow, enhanced productivity, and minimized the time spent on manual file management.

Cloud-based file storage

  • May 09, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is its effortless file synchronization and sharing across devices and teams. It just works—whether you're on a laptop, phone, or web browser, you can quickly access and share files without worrying about version control or emailing attachments back and forth.
What do you dislike about the product?
Limited Free Storage
The free plan only offers 2 GB, which fills up quickly—especially if you're syncing photos, videos, or large documents.

Sync Conflicts
When multiple users edit the same file at the same time, Dropbox can create conflicting versions, which require manual resolution.

Pricing for Business Plans
The cost can add up for teams, especially if only basic collaboration features are needed and you're not using the full scope of what Dropbox Business offers.

File Structure Confusion in Teams
Shared folders and permissions can get messy in team environments without clear organization or admin oversight.

Offline Access Setup
While available, offline access has to be manually enabled for files or folders on mobile, which can be inconvenient when you're in a hurry.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
1. Problem: Disorganized or Scattered Files
Solution: Dropbox centralizes file storage in the cloud, so everything is in one place.
Benefit: Easy access and consistent organization, reducing time spent searching for files.

2. Problem: Version Confusion and Lost Changes
Solution: Automatic file syncing and version history.
Benefit: You can track changes, recover older versions, and avoid overwriting someone else’s work.

3. Problem: Difficult File Sharing and Collaboration
Solution: Dropbox allows you to share files and folders via secure links with customizable permissions.
Benefit: Collaborators can access the latest files instantly, without clogging email inboxes or creating duplicate documents.
