Easy to use, does its job well. But the file size limit (unless paid subscription) is a bummer.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy use across devices. syncs fast. a trusted brand prior to google drive's popularity
What do you dislike about the product?
file size limit (unless paid subscription)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Secure syncing of files across multiple devices, including smart phone and laptops. Has not been an issue for my EndNote library.

Easy to collaborate across users

What do you like best about the product?
I like being able to share large files with collaborators and to be able to edit documents with collaborators without having the formatting altered.

Additionally, once, when a collaborator accidentally deleted the document we were working on Dropbox was able to retrieve it.
What do you dislike about the product?
My institution blocks our ability to use it from the computers there which is frustrating since I keep teaching materials on dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I often want to share PPT slides with significant data with collaborators and this type of high memory files are otherwise difficult to send back and forth.

I like how easy Dropbox is to navigate and when I collaborate on papers with colleagues it does not change the formatting of those documents.

Unobtrusive, secure and reliable

What do you like best about the product?
It is multi platform, it works easily on all my devices and it allows me to select what to share and with who, controlling each step seamlessly
What do you dislike about the product?
Price is always a consideration when you have your very small business. Other Providers have mixed online storage with live collaboration tools MS Teams style. This would be an interesting mix! For example Zoom charges exorbitant prices for storage. They would be a good match
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Interacting on large documents wiht people across the globe, singatures. I like that it is tailored for small people as well as large organizations

Invaluable

What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Dropbox for around a decade now, relying on it daily for my freelancing work. Transferring and sharing files is effortless, requiring just a few clicks. Plus, expanding storage at no cost is an option. Uploading and downloading files are both fast and efficient, and installing the software is a breeze. I haven’t explored its integrations or technical support since I’ve never encountered any issues.
What do you dislike about the product?
Honestly, nothing at all. But if I had to mention something, it would probably be the pricing—I just can’t afford even the cheapest plan! 😅
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Seamlessly transferring files between locations without the need for a physical drive. Most importantly, securely backing up my files

What do you like best about the product?
I really like Dropbox because it helps me upload files (pictures, videos, etc.) and send them to people without any trouble.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that it requires an internet connection. There could be a offline version that syncs when connected.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is benefiting me by giving me a way to upload files that Gmail or other apps can't handle

What do you dislike about the product?
I really can't think of anything negative to say.

Sharing important documents and only having them in one place for the team to access

What do you like best about the product?
I love version history. I also like the search tool as my files arent always kept nice and tidy but the search tool always finds them for me and does it fast. There are many other features I like. Editing in browser mode. Layout of my account home page. The tips and hints..
What do you dislike about the product?
I use macs and sometimes my desktop Dropbox doesnt sync or update so my files 'arent there' when i want them. This issue probably has something to do with me as opposed to dropbox not working properly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
file storage, team collab, meeting document filing needs for large bundles of documents,

Dropbox practically invented cloud storage and more

  • February 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Multi-device sync is seamless, easy, and reliable. I use it constantly, but never have to think about it given how good the UX is.
What do you dislike about the product?
The migration of large sets of data to and from Dropbox is terrible.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Version control, mindless automatic backup by folder, and easy doc sharing in a UX that's superior to other solutions.

Cloud storage and collaboration that has proven itself over time

  • February 14, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is reliable and is most likely the most connected cloud storage/sharing platform there is.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't have a lot to say negatively to be honest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox allows me to send and receive audio and video files in a format that can be seen and heard within the platform. There is no need to download and rely on specific codecs. I can then engage in constructive feedback within the platform which makes Dropbox much more than a simple storage provider.
