The space limit for the basic (free) version is quite small. Nowadays, you can't really store much with less than 4GB of space. Even Google Drive offers 20GB for free.

Dropbox saves my small business regularly
What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can access Dropbox on any internet-connected device, no matter where I am in the world. All my files are there just waiting for me to open them, and all my changes just synch up. It's easy and intuitive to use. I have been in situations where I've suddenly and unexpectedly needed a document while I'm not in my office, and I can just open the Dropbox app on my phone or log in on someone's computer, and everything I need is there. I use Dropbox every single day and never save anything outside it.

What do you like best about the product?
It's hard to pick my favorite thing about Dropbox. Having used Google, Microsoft, and Apple's cloud storage products, Dropbox is head & shoulders the best on the market for numerous reasons - the ones that have made it stand out to me vs. the competition is flexibility, compatibility, space utilization, and the user interface. Every aspect of Dropbox is straightforward from sorting folders to renaming files, viewing thumbnails, and sharing access-controled documents and repositories. As simple as one would think that would be, Apple falls down on renaming and Google falls down on just finding the file structure! Dropbox also has easily located and utilized customization settings that I have found nowhere else. Being able to purge thumbnails to save harddrive space on PCs where I have Dropbox set up to show in the File Explorer tree is huge - it saves so much space, especially compared to OneDrive.
It loads faster than the others. Syncs faster than the others. I rarely find lag between one computer and another, whereas sometimes Microsoftms product takes hours to update across devices. Not Dropbox though.
I also use Dropbox heavily for photo storage, and it shines perhaps brightest in that use - the in-app crop option, the speed of preview load, and being able to cycle through almost in a filmstrip fashion are huge. The only other cloud storage option that has any of that is OneDrive, and it's slow to sync, slow to load, and the online UI is not nearly as smooth.
Dropbox has worked on everything I have tried using it on, including Apple products. In reverse, I have struggled immensely with compatibility issues trying to get iCloud to function well on Windows platforms. Dropbox wins there, as well as with the mobile app (on my iphone) for preserving the functionality of the program on a much smaller screen.
There is no competition. Dropbox is the only program I trust to store my research, photos, etc. The Vault feature for secure files is huge too.

What do you dislike about the product?
The only real downside is the search feature is not always reliable at finding every single document relevant to my keywords, but this seems to be only after updates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Accessing critical information in multiple places near-simultaneously.
