The one tool I trust to never screw up my files
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Dropbox is how invisible it is when it's working right which, honestly, is almost all the time. It’s one of those tools I don’t have to think about. I save something, and it’s just there on my phone, my desktop, my iPad, wherever I need it.
But it’s not just the syncing. What’s really made Dropbox essential for me is the way it keeps our team aligned without needing constant check-ins. We have shared folders set up for every client, and everyone from interns to execs—knows exactly where to find things. No more "can you resend that?" emails. No more hunting through email threads for a final draft. It’s clean, it’s predictable, and it gives us one less thing to stress about.

What do you dislike about the product?
My biggest gripe is probably how Dropbox has tried to stretch itself into areas where it doesn’t really shine. Dropbox Paper, for example great idea on paper (pun intended), but it’s not something we ever seriously adopted. The editing experience just feels too limited compared to tools we already use like Google Docs or Notion.
Also, while the storage and sync are top-notch, the pricing does start to feel heavy when you’re scaling a team. Once you’ve got more than a few users, you’re paying a pretty penny just to store and organize files. I’d love to see more flexibility in plans or bundles that add more value.
And one small but real annoyance: file previews sometimes glitch on mobile. Nothing major, but enough to make you sigh when you’re trying to check something on the go.

Dropbox solves the chaos that comes from juggling files across multiple people, devices, and tools. Before we used it properly, it felt like every team member had their own version of “organization” some had files on USBs, others in random folders or personal clouds. Deadlines got missed just because someone couldn’t find the right version of a doc.
Now, everything lives in one clean, shared system. I know exactly where to drop a file, and I trust that everyone will see it. It’s taken away the second-guessing, the back-and-forth, and the last-minute “Can you resend that?” messages.
