  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love how intuitive and easy it is to set up Dropbox, creating folders effortlessly to organize my files and share them efficiently with clients. The simplicity in sending each folder for deliveries is impressive, providing a seamless experience for organizing projects annually. I find Dropbox's cloud storage tremendously beneficial as it offers a single, organized place for all my projects. I also appreciate Dropbox Paper; its usefulness in collaborating on projects with shared to-do lists has significantly aided my team dynamic. The enhanced professionalism of Dropbox compared to Google Drive made it my choice for client deliveries, and I am especially pleased with the ease of sharing files using Dropbox. Furthermore, I enjoy using Microsoft Office in conjunction with Dropbox, like managing Excel sheets directly within a Dropbox folder, though I do not heavily rely on integrations. The noteworthy competitive pricing and continual advancements are crucial, ensuring Dropbox remains an attractive service compared to alternatives like Google Drive.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that the folder structure in Dropbox's online browser version can be somewhat clunky, making it difficult to navigate compared to the desktop version, which is more streamlined. This sometimes complicates my workflow online. I'm also concerned about the discontinuation of Dropbox Paper from the mobile version, as it is a tool I find valuable for collaboration. Additionally, I'm disappointed that Dropbox Passwords is being discontinued, as I enjoyed using it and now have to transition to a different password manager.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox organizes my files in the cloud for client deliveries and projects, providing a centralized system that benefits me with organized access to all project files.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for about ten years, and I find it very useful for coordinating files across my devices like my PC, iPad, iPhone, and Apple Watch. The transition to Dropbox was seamless when I was looking for a cloud backup solution. I explored other options but found Dropbox's setup to be very easy and intuitive. Its file sharing features, along with security, are impressive. I love that I can access my files from any platform without worrying about disk space, as my files are securely stored in the cloud. The premium version of Dropbox makes my life easier and offers enough capacity for my needs. I particularly enjoy storing my pictures on Dropbox and sharing them with my family. The public sharing feature allows me to limit or invite people to view specific files. Dropbox's ease of use and intuitive interface add to its appeal. I frequently use it for storing and using Excel and Microsoft Word files, and I've found it essential for storing various important documents securely. Its ability to keep my vital files safe, even if my physical devices were to be damaged, provides great peace of mind. Overall, I'm highly satisfied with Dropbox and often recommend it to others, even suggesting the free edition for those new to cloud storage. I'm committed to using Dropbox long-term.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes find it cumbersome to rearrange files and create different sub-files and subgroups. This limitation, although minor, can be a bit inconvenient when trying to organize my files more efficiently.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to coordinate files across multiple devices, which saves disk space and ensures my files are accessible and secure from any platform. The intuitive design and sharing features make my life easier and enhance file management.

Great for File Sharing, But Extra Storage Costs Disappoint

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Sharing files is all that I have ever used it for, and this function appears to work well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to pay for extra file storage. Also I haven't ever been shown any other features so I don't really know how to comment on them.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing big files is a benefit, but we also use Sharepoint for that. Dropbox is helpful for one-off information sharing though.

Reliable File Sharing with Room for Improvement

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Dropbox for its ability to share large files that are too big to email such as audio, video, CAD files, huge PDFs, and big photos, without having to shrink or compromise them. It's incredibly beneficial for us as it allows seamless sharing as long as we have enough storage space. Additionally, the flexibility to organize files into folders and share them with different groups based on project requirements is invaluable. I also love that Dropbox offers scalable storage options to align with our needs and budget.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the process of sharing files on Dropbox increasingly confusing and not as straightforward as I'd like, particularly with the different methods such as shared folders and shared files. It often becomes problematic when sharing with others who have limited space in their Dropbox, as the system tries to add the file to their Dropbox, which could be full. This limitation makes it difficult for others to access files directly from my Dropbox. Furthermore, I'd appreciate the option in the sharing menu to allow files to be shared directly from my Dropbox without them being added to the recipient's Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to share large files like audio, video, and CAD files that are too big for email, allowing us to send anything we want without compromising file quality.

The ease of setup and use makes it a favorite for handling both business and personal needs, from storing pictures to various documents. Additionally, the convenience of being able to access my files from different locations with just a simple sign-in makes it an essential tool in my daily workflow.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would like Dropbox to allow documents to be used within the platform itself, instead of requiring them to be downloaded.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox allows me to use documents across platforms, share them with others, and access them from various locations, enhancing collaboration and ease of use.
