Dropbox is great for collaborative research and team building
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is an excellent technology for collaboration especially on research projects. Allows for a seamless way for teams to share and collaborate on documents. Also allows for quick documentation and retrieval of work products.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of Dropbox is that it doesn't play or interact well with Google docs. Dropbox is more secure than a Google Folder, but I have been on teams where the concern was that Dropbox is harder to edit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox allows for tackling the problem of communication, collaboration, and documentation of work on research projects. Dropbox is a huge benefit because it offers easy documentation and a collaborative work space for teams to share. I know use Dropbox for all the research projects that I work on in teams. It is efficient because the team knows that Dropbox is how we willl share, document, and retrieve our research projects.
Easy to use across multiple platforms
What do you like best about the product?
The cloud storage is phenomenal and accessing documents from a browser if you are without your computer is seamless. Dropbox cloud transfer is incredibly useful to prevent emailing large files.
What do you dislike about the product?
The desktop app on Mac is not as easy to use as the native storage or browser site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick transfer of large files, accessibility of documents across multiple devices and platforms

Ez access from anywhere...sync across all platforms and devices. OS independent.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing. I guess you can make it free, that would be nice.

I can use multiple platforms - MS and iOS and Mac - all are instantaneous to get my files

To move files from one computer to another without using an USB key
GREAT Cloud Storage
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use, easy to organize, just like your desktop explorer folder, backing up is easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
When replacing/upodating files with the same exact name, it does not stop and ask if we want to do that (like the desktop explorer folder does) and thus confirming in my mind that they are in fact getting replaced.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting ALL of my personal files off my laptop and it is easy to always download what I may need to use. It frees-up storage space on my laptop.

The price is reasonable and I have access to all my files on the go.

Sometimes we have had some problems sharing files with people who aren't Dropbox users.

I can share files across devices in the cloud and with other people.

The fact you can store files and use them whenneeded any time while in the states or abroad.

Not finding downsides, the service is acurate with fair warnings of files over the limits of the current plan.

Haveing the convenience of usin my files at any time and anywhere.

It is automatic or not. And everything is so easily shared.
What do you dislike about the product?
My publisher, Penguin Random House, won't use it with me so I have to upload to their own box. I wish everyone used Dropbox!

Dropbox is such a quick and easy way to store everything in one place! I haven't lost a file or a drive in ten years now!
