What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love the flexibility Dropbox offers for storing all my work-related information, data, and files shared with students and postdocs. It's an incredibly flexible tool that I've been using for over ten years, and it allows me to store everything from primary data to large documents like theses from students, which is especially beneficial given its useful version control. This reliability eases my worries about managing and accessing my data. Setting up Dropbox was completely hassle-free and straightforward, something I greatly appreciated as it made the transition from using external hard drives simple. The ability to share files easily and access them from multiple devices, such as my desktop, laptop, and iPhone, is invaluable to my workflow. Furthermore, all my basic applications, including Microsoft Suite, Adobe Acrobat, and specialized research software integrate seamlessly with Dropbox. This interoperability enhances my productivity significantly. I am also a big fan of Dropbox's layout and web version, and its synchronization function is exceptionally reliable, always performing as expected across all my devices. Overall, Dropbox provides me with peace of mind, ensuring my data's safety and accessibility, which makes it a top-notch solution for my needs. It's a great asset that I would definitely recommend to others, evidenced by the fact I would rate it a 10 out of 10.

Intuitive and User-Friendly, But Needs Better Word Integration
What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for over ten years and have found it to be incredibly valuable for both personal and work purposes, allowing me to easily organize and access my files. Compared to alternatives like Google Drive, I prefer Dropbox because it is more intuitive, user-friendly, and has a cleaner, more organized interface. One of the standout benefits is its mobile accessibility; I can easily access files on the go from my mobile device. The ability to easily share files is another feature I greatly appreciate, making collaborations and file distribution seamless. I also enjoy the functionality of using my phone to take pictures and scan documents directly into Dropbox, which I use frequently. Overall, Dropbox accommodates my various file storage and sharing needs effectively.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the real-time editing of Word documents and PPT files within Dropbox to be subpar. The available formatting features are limited, and I've experienced issues where styles revert back to previous versions and my changes aren't saved. Additionally, I've encountered connectivity issues mid-editing, requiring me to refresh and reapply changes, which disrupts my workflow. Overall, the experience of using Word, PPT and Excel through Dropbox is lackluster, although it's still better than not having access to these tools at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox allows me to easily organize, update, share, and upload files and access them on the go, offering an intuitive, user-friendly experience for personal and work purposes.
Dropbox Makes Collaboration Easy, But Recovery Comes at a Cost
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Dropbox’s straightforward setup process, which made it easy for me to get started without any hassle. The ability to share very large files with multiple people is crucial for my work needs. The collaborative work feature is indispensable as it allows me and my team to work on the same file seamlessly, enhancing our productivity. I enjoy the possibility to share documents with non-Dropbox users, ensuring that our workflow is not restricted by the software requirements of others. Most importantly, Dropbox's ease of use is a significant factor for me, making it an integral part of my daily work routine.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the ability to restore documents comes as an additional paid feature. This limitation feels restrictive as accessing previous document versions should ideally be a standard feature, enhancing Dropbox's usefulness without incurring extra costs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to share large files and collaborate on documents, which enhances teamwork. Its ease of use is a significant advantage.

Ease of Use with a Minor Glitch
What do you like best about the product?
I've been using Dropbox since it began and have found it incredibly useful for storing session files, music, and other essential items, especially for business, music, and recording purposes. One of the standout features for me is the ease and speed of setup - it was very easy, very quick, and you could easily get started with it. Dropbox is very user-friendly, making it simple to use for everyone. I primarily enjoy its capability for file sharing and serving as a reliable backup system, ensuring that my files are safe and secure. These features collectively contribute to why I continue to use Dropbox alongside other services. Additionally, its reliability is so satisfying that there is nothing I'd wish to change about it. Indeed, Dropbox aligns perfectly with my needs, making it a significant tool in my daily operations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the Dropbox desktop application's handling of file synchronization problematic. When I load Dropbox onto my home computer, it tends to remove the files from the virtual storage and add them locally to my computer. This creates an issue where if I delete these files from my computer, they are also deleted from my virtual or cloud storage, which is frustrating. This behavior forced me to stop using the Dropbox application on my desktop and to access the service exclusively through the web browser.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox for secure file sharing and backup, making my sessions and music files easily transferable. It's user-friendly, quick to set up, and keeps my data safe, though desktop syncing issues led me to use it through the web browser.
