  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for over ten years and find it highly useful for storing audiovisual content that I create. Dropbox's ability to function as central storage ensures I always have access to my files, even without my computer. It has effectively replaced my need for USB hard drives with its ease of file sharing. The possibility to share Dropbox links with others is a feature I use frequently, favoring it over other services like WeTransfer. I also appreciate the camera upload feature on my smartphone, which seamlessly integrates and automatically uploads my photos to Dropbox. The platform's reasonable pricing makes it even more appealing, coupled with its ease of use and stability. Dropbox works almost always flawlessly, which enhances my overall experience and trust in the service.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it was initially challenging to get Dropbox to work across different devices, like my personal Mac computer and a Windows laptop at work. Although I managed to overcome this difficulty, I feel that the setup process might still be complicated for people who are not as comfortable with technology and computers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox solves my file sharing issues by allowing easy link sharing and acts as a central storage, replacing USB drives. It's reliable and easy to use, with automatic uploads from my smartphone ensuring access even when I'm without my computer.

Reliable File Sharing, Needs Better Ease of Use

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for five to ten years, primarily for sharing files and data storage. Initially, setting it up was really simple and intuitive, and I appreciated how it streamlined the process of sharing larger videos and files with others. This capability is essential for my work, allowing colleagues to access, work on, or add to their profiles for our company's online use. Additionally, Dropbox's ability to integrate with applications like Adobe and Microsoft files, as well as various audio and video editing software, enables seamless movement of files for collaborative projects, which I find incredibly beneficial. The affordability of Dropbox and its competitiveness with other cloud storage solutions make it a valuable tool, especially when ease of access aligns with my expectations.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find that utilizing Dropbox has become more challenging over the past six months compared to when I initially set it up. I'm particularly frustrated by how convoluted it is to find files, which complicates accessibility and ease of use. The user interface doesn't always function intuitively, making it difficult to download features back to the computer for access. Currently, it's not the easiest platform for me to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I find Dropbox makes sharing large files and videos easy, allowing colleagues to access and work on them effectively.

  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like that it lets me share very large audio recordings. It's easy to use as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish the free version had a larger memory allowance. Also wish other people didn't have to create a dropbox account to listen to my linked file in my dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I record a talk it lets me share my recording of it with my friends who couldn't make it, even when the talk is an hour or longer.

Reliable Cloud Storage with Room for Pricing Improvement

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I really appreciate Dropbox for its seamless document synchronization across multiple devices, which is incredibly smooth and reliable compared to other services like OneDrive and iCloud. Setting up Dropbox was straightforward and easy, allowing me to effortlessly use it on multiple computers and my phone. I particularly enjoy using the iPhone app, as it integrates well with the Files app, making it simple to find and upload documents. The search feature stands out for me, making it easy to locate documents quickly. Dropbox's usability, particularly in the context of my school and university work, allowed me to share notes between devices without hassle.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find the price of Dropbox to be a main factor that prevents me from choosing it over other services. Since I am already paying for iCloud, which offers more convenient storage options without additional costs, paying for Dropbox as well doesn't make financial sense for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox for easy document access across devices, especially my phone. It integrates smoothly with apps, making document finding and uploading simple. Its search and sync features are reliable and error-free compared to other services like OneDrive and iCloud.
