Hands down one of the best cloud based storage provider

  • May 01, 2017

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox gives you an intuitive interface to store all your important files in. Changes are very easily tracked and files can be shared with others in an instant. Dropbox is a solid option for individuals with modest or even moderate storage requirements who need easy file synchronization and sharing capabilities across multiple devices with ease of integration. Users with larger storage needs or those requiring advanced features may upgrade to one of Dropbox's paid plans for a even higher featureset.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing bad about Dropbox but I guess they could offer more storage for free customers but at the same time I cannot really complain about that.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Cloud based storage
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use it. Store all important information on the cloud so it may be accessed from anywhere.

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox offers some really great features - I can send a link to a file on the service to anyone who isn't on the service; I can share folders and data with select people; and I get plenty of space. (There's the requisite get-free-space-to-have-your-friends-sign-on, but even at a rock bottom $10 month for 100 GB, there's still plenty of value to Dropbox).
What do you dislike about the product?
My only major dislike is that, if I am removed from a folder, I do not get a note saying, "You are no longer connected to this folder" - one assignment ended abruptly, and I had some notes and work in process that should have been kept with me. However, this is a minor quibble - all in all, I really enjoy Dropbox.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Much of my work involves sharing large folders and files, whether it's business/marketing information or (as my sideline) scans and proofing copies of pulp reissues. Dropbox allows me to work remote at any venue - I use the web version, but the Android app on my tablet works wonderfully as well. I'm finding myself better able to meet deadlines and craft marketing copy that more closely resembles what my client is seeking....and in the end, it fosters collaboration.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Dropbox's interface is clean - very clean, and can be somewhat misleading. I would also consider that, although you can acquire more space through referrals, paying the $10 a month for a basic account is *definitely* worth it.
