Strong Storage Sharing with Minimal Issues
What do you like best about the product?
I've used Dropbox a lot for file sharing, and it's a lot more useful than most file storages at doing that
What do you dislike about the product?
I do feel that there isn't very much storage on the base plan, but it is enough
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing large files to colleagues
Still the most user friendly cloud service
What do you like best about the product?
For me, Dropbox has managed to remain the top cloud service over the years, although I had to use several other services for work reasons. The reason is that it has the most user-friendly interface and that the search function works great. Furthermore, syncing between devices is really seamless and I did not have issues like I had with one other service, when changing the devices often. They added paper, their version of documents which are really handy and make it a good way to work together, track tasks etc. The installation is very easy and you can easily set it up with your team, share files or folders or integrate with other tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
The free plan is rather limited in terms of space and you basically need to get a subscription very soon after you start using it a bit more for work, but it is worth it. Alternativelly, you can refer friends and get some additional GB that way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox manages all the team files in one place and enables you to collaborate, comment and edit the files before they are sent to the client. As the files can be easily shared, everything is done in one place and there is no need to worry about versions, sharing links, bandwith etc. This helps immenselly when you have a dispersed team working on the same files at different times and/or stages of the process.
Seamless Integration and Reliable Backup Solution
What do you like best about the product?
What I love most about Dropbox is the ease of sharing documents and storing for long term use. The app works amazing and I use it to continuously backup important documents as well as folders. Allowing the ability to share files with a password enables me to share important documents between clients and others without worrying about the link becoming compromised.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be somehwat frustrating when there are changes; however the intuitive designs quickly allow me to understand the interfacing and adapt myself to find what I need,
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox allows me to quickly share files with tons of control. For working with clients I am able to manage file versions as well as move files around within the cloud to better organize and create seamless solutions for my clients to receive materials.
A great Service
What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox is very easy to use. As far as someone can use Windows, he will not need any help with Dropbox.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are no downsides. It is the perfect cloud you need
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My files are safe from any disaster.
Convenient cloud access
What do you like best about the product?
My institution had unlimited storage, so I was able to sync my laptop storage contents with the Dropbox account. This gave me ease of mind that my stuff will be saved (prior to learning about the syncing possibility I had lost my files on another laptop that died on me).
What do you dislike about the product?
I just needed to make sure to have my phone on me because the Dropbox account login was through my institution, so I needed to authenticate multifactorially.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My department had a shared Dropbox folder that allowed us to share internal materials privately.
Easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
Simple interface that is easy, quick and fast. Easy to share with others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Best features are behind a paywall (but it's worth it!)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick upload and download speeds
Easy to use and love that I can use it for business purposes.
What do you like best about the product?
Being able to share files with others. Purchasing more space if needed.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the layout of files could be neater. The home page is a little disorienting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing files with my clients. Backing up my own photos and other files.
Lots of great points
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that it's easy to post a link and allow non-users to submit their work. I like that I can preset folders, each with a different link, and the files are already organized for me. This allows my nonprofit publisher to accept submissions for multiple things at once.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that Dropbox stopped including an email address with each submission. It forced us to require an email address in each submission file, which few people pay attention to. We have to reject submissions if we can't contact the author.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
None, if I'm honest. It's just a third submission method for us. I suppose Dropbox's drag-and-drop method is easier for some people than sending an email.
Been using Dropbox for years. I love it!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the amount of storage that you can get for free. It's great!
What do you dislike about the product?
Dropbox used to allow more than 3 devices for free to have its app installed. Now it's capped at 3 devices.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It's nice to store files in a cloud and have access to it at any time you need as opposed to storing files on a USB drive and having to carry that around.
Dropbox keeps me sane
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Dropbox is the fact that I can access files from anywhere! If I'm traveling and need to work on a project, I can access all my files using Dropbox, no need for a clunky external hard drive! Dropbox is so ingrained with my work flow that I almost forget it's there, which is the best part.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only thing that could be improved is file syncing. A file used to sync once it was double clicked, but now I need to right click and select "make available offline" before opening the file.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is solving the problem of getting files from clients. I can use Dropbox to give clients an easy way to upload content and files securely and instantly.
