Effortless File Sharing and Sync, But Pricing and Free Space Could Improve

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox makes it incredibly easy to organize, store, and share large files between my devices and collaborators. The sync speed is fast and reliable, and I love that I can access my files anywhere without worrying about losing data. The smart sync and automatic backup features are a huge plus — they save a lot of space on my local drive and keep my workflow running smoothly.
What do you dislike about the product?
The storage plans can get expensive, especially when you’re managing multiple accounts or large music/media projects. Sometimes the desktop app can use more CPU than expected, and file syncing gets stuck occasionally if the connection drops. It would also be great if the free tier offered a little more space for smaller projects or collaborations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox helps me keep all my creative projects organized and synced across multiple devices. As a music producer, I often switch between my laptop, studio computer, and phone — Dropbox ensures my Ableton files, stems, and artwork are always up to date. It also solves the problem of large file transfers when collaborating with other artists or designers. Instead of sending files over email or messaging apps, I just share a Dropbox link and it’s done instantly. This saves me a lot of time and avoids version confusion

I appreciate Dropbox's integration within my Mac environment

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Collaboration with clients. Ease of use. Interface has greatly improved over past 2 years. Confidently secure.

I mostly use DropBox directly through my Mac UI. This is the primary and most important way of interacting with Dropbox. I wish functions were a bit more integrated, but I overlook that limitation. When I truly want to control details of sharing and access, I use the website.
What do you dislike about the product?
File/folder ownership confusion. I've had occurrences of clients who shared a folder owned by my company, continue to use it as if is was theirs—adding 100's of MBs of files to the folder.

Sharing interface could be improved. Mostly in having the ability to quickly scan a long file list and see who is sharing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
An organized, safe repository of cloud-based file-sharing.

Effortlessly Collaborative and User-Friendly

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for four to five years, primarily for work-related collaborations as a teaching assistant. I find Dropbox to be a very easy platform to use, significantly easier than other options like Google Drive. Setting it up was a breeze; it felt like all I had to do was click on an email, and it was ready to go. Dropbox efficiently helps us collaborate on the same documents, which I find to be one of its best features. This ability to work on shared documents is particularly beneficial for me. Additionally, Dropbox allows for sharing documents as links while utilizing very little Internet, which I appreciate for its efficiency. I am particularly impressed with the ease and quickness of using Dropbox, which makes me inclined to purchase it again. My positive experience is reflected in the likelihood of me recommending it to others. On a scale from one to ten, I would rate my recommendation a nine.
What do you dislike about the product?
I feel like the user interface could make it a little more engaging.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox makes teamwork on documents seamless, providing easy access and real-time collaboration. Its interface is intuitive, requiring minimal setup and using little Internet, making it efficient for my work as a teaching assistant.

Reliable File Storage, Needs Document Editing and Pricing Adjustments

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have been using Dropbox for over ten years, and I find it invaluable for both personal and business purposes. I love that Dropbox allows me to store all my files securely, preventing the risk of deletion. The ability to easily share files with others is a significant advantage for my collaborative efforts. The storage capability of Dropbox is impressive, and I appreciate the feature that allows multiple people to access and use the files simultaneously. Setting up Dropbox was mostly smooth, enabling seamless integration into my existing file system. One of the best aspects is how it integrates effortlessly with my computer, allowing me to open files without the need to go through a web browser or third-party software. This ease of access makes my workflow smoother and more efficient.
What do you dislike about the product?
I find it challenging to edit documents directly within Dropbox. The need to download files to another application for editing adds an unnecessary step to my workflow. Additionally, I feel that the transition from the free version to the paid plans is too steep. It would be beneficial to have a more cost-effective middle-tier option with moderate storage capabilities, rather than having to choose between limited free storage and a higher-priced plan.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to safely store files, preventing accidental deletion and enabling seamless sharing with others, boosting collaboration.

Dropbox: Convenient Access, but Pricing Concerns

  • October 30, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate Dropbox for its ability to make my life convenient by allowing me to access all my important files, such as completed files, personal documents, and medical licenses, regardless of where I am. It's particularly useful for viewing these files from my iPhone when I'm out in the field, and it enables me to access files remotely at a moment's notice, which makes me look efficient and prepared. The setup process was very easy for me, which made starting my journey with Dropbox quite smooth. I find it extremely useful to access files from remote locations, especially using my cell phone, which adds to the convenience Dropbox offers. Moreover, integrating various types of software such as Excel, Word documents, and even products from Adobe and Microsoft into Dropbox has been seamless for me, enhancing the overall utility of the service. These features compel me to strongly recommend Dropbox to others, reflected by a recommendation score of ten out of ten.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the rising cost of Dropbox, as it keeps becoming more and more expensive, which is a concern for me. Additionally, I find that deleting files can often be difficult, contributing to a cluttered storage with old files that are not easily managed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Dropbox to access my files remotely, especially on my iPhone, which makes managing my personal data easy and convenient.
