Dropbox provides an easy way for me sync my files across computers and keep them backed up.

What do you like best about the product?
After using Dropbox for a few years, it has become part of my workflow. The client on Windows and MacOS is very intuitive and integrates very well with the operating system. I use the platform every day to sync files between my personal computers, and it is relatively easy to setup for the most part. Since the platform seems rather stable, I have not yet had the need to reach out for customer support.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Dropbox has an excellent client on Windows and MacOS, the user experience is not quite as great on Linux. Although it works really well from a functionality standpoint, it does not share the same excellent user interface that is available to MacOS and Windows users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FYI, the aforementioned question regarding which purposes for I use Dropbox, only the "cloud content collaboration" option is available to be selected.

With that said, I would argue that the big problem that Dropbox solves in my workflow is simply providing an all-encompassing platform for me to store my personal files and sync them between clients. Although Dropbox provides many other features to solve different problems, that one is the main problem solved for me personally.

From the side of business problems, Dropbox makes keeping track of business expenses and receipts quite easy with its document-scanning feature. This feature came in handy when I was trying to keep track of business expenses while delivering for the DoorDash platform.

What do you like best about the product?
What I most like about Dropbox is that I can upload files from anywhere and then access them somewhere completely different, or even use it to send files to people on the other side of the world.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price. I wish that it cost less but I understand why it costs what it does.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sending large files a long way. It means that I don't need to send physical media.

Great Cloud Storage Tool

What do you like best about the product?
It's simplicity to use across all devices
.
What do you dislike about the product?
With additional, purchased, storage plans, I admit I probably save too much. This can make searing for a file difficult at times, but truly easier than if all the files were on floppy disc, CD or hard-drive(s).
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Trusted source that almost anybody can use efficiently

Sharing work with my team is easy using Dropbox.

  • March 16, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Dropbox enables my team to share everything in one place. We can organize our documents and presentations into dedicated folders so we always know where everything is. I especially like the ability for everyone to have access.
I also like that Dropbox enables us to have a cloud based storage system conducive to our needs rather than keep everything stored on physical drives. Finally, it's great that we can use Dropbox on the web or download it as a desktop app. Dropbox enables flexibility based on individual or team needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
The most frustrating part of Dropbox for our team is not being able to see people's edits live. We need to ensure that people aren't working on documents or presentations at the same time because we can't see that occurring. We've also had some challenges with people making changes, saving, and closing out but not seeing these changes when someone else opens the document. Sometimes, Dropbox is not the most feasible software for collaboration.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dropbox is helping us solve the problem of having to use physical storage devices. Prior to Dropbox, we often stored all of our data on various physical drives. Now we can store all of our data in a cloud and when necessary have a backup in other locations. It is also providing us a platform to view a lot of content together. Rather than sending it out in a mass email, we can put it in a Dropbox folder and everyone has access.
