Less confusing than it once was.

What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful thing about Dropbox is that it works through the app or a browswer, and most people can access it. I logged in to look at the platform and just noticed that there's a new AI feature. I haven't been able to explore that yet but I will.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have found that a few clients cannot access it because of firewalls. It's been a bit cumbersome and confusing in the past, especially with shared versus unshared folders and who can see/do what.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing large files (primarily photos, graphics, and spreadsheets) after our events, and accessing them when needed.

Dropbox is Quick and Easy Access to Files Across Devices

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I love that I can create, work on, and save a file from my phone, my personal computer, or my work computer and access it from the other devices swiftly and effortlessly. And, you can use tell when the file is "up to date" on any device from the Dropbox icon sync status.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have enjoyed all aspects of Dropbox, from the orientation video to the generous storage to the multi-device functionality.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have a habit of jotting down a note or saving an article using one machine, and then want it on another. Dropbox allows access to files across devices, practically instantly and without emailing it to myself.

What do you like best about the product?
The ability to share different links to either edit or view the folder contents.
What do you dislike about the product?
Lack of tiered pricing options for a Dropbox subscription. It would be great to have quarterly payment options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I need lots of cloud storage and a simple way for my clients to access content. Dropbox delivers both.

great tools, but ditch the 3d party AI

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
as a professional illustrator, I love being able to recall my files from anywhere even if they are corrupt. it could not be easier to use which is nice as well. I use Dropbox to fire files back and forth from Procreate to Photoshop.
What do you dislike about the product?
The third-party AI stuff needs to go, all of my corporate clients are up in arms about it and so are the creatives. Literally no one wants it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
being able to safely access my files

Easy to use & multi-platform

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I have multiple machines with multiple OSes: Windows, 2 different Linux distros, and Android. While there are a lot of options out there that are mutli-platform, Dropbox works well across the platforms with minimal fuss.
What do you dislike about the product?
The Linux (Ubuntu) version is a little dated in management/integration, but nothing that really prevents you from using it's full feature set.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Syncing large amounts of content between machines (and people).

What do you dislike about the product?
Searching for a specific file can be difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Sharing Dropbox across our company so multiple people can work on the files at the same time.

It's my Foundation - works, accessible multiple ways

  • December 19, 2023
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
It is universally accessible. Mac, pc, mobile. It is also configurable to allow other users designated access to files.
I also like the file retrieval option. When removing DB from an old laptop, I accidentally ended up deleting all my repo.
Fortunately, I could login through the Web interface and restore the files...
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there were an obvious and easy way to decommission and remove DB from a target endpoint. I've now switched jobs a couple times and had to remove DB -- I'm always jittery that I might accidentally delete files from the store.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick access to content no matter what platform and where. I can make files globally accessible, so that I don't have to mail things around.
It allows other co-collaborators the access they need.
