Scylla >> Cassandra
What do you like best about the product?
We transitioned from Cassandra to Scylla, and the results have been amazing thus far. Reduced latencies, less management effort, and lowered managing costs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Have not experienced any issues thus far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Running a low latency, high frequency application using an extremely large data set.

What do you like best about the product?
Ease of Use and its integration with CQL so my apps don't have to suffer outage during migration

The document can be better to support such a good product

Scalability and the stop the world garbage collection with Cassandra DB
A Breeze to Get Started
What do you like best about the product?
It was super easy to download the product and configure the variables and CQL driver to get started.
What do you dislike about the product?
I am new to Cassandra Query Language and found it a bit challenging. Wish I could use more common query language that I am familiar with.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the biggest issues our departments face is compatibility. ScyllaDB seems to be able to solve that by allowing us to integrate via the CQL driver, such as integrating with Kubernetes.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use the tutorials that are on the documentation site before trying to start the integration process
Highly Performant & Low latency database
What do you like best about the product?
Low latency and High throughput. Monitoring and auto data replication. Token aware Scylla driver is increasing the performance.
What do you dislike about the product?
Need for SSD and high-end computing machine.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Storing the big data and retrieving it in milliseconds for increasing the customer experience

Consider using ScyllaDB if you are looking for high resilient, high throughput and low latency NOSQL database
Insane fast no-sql DB with scalable architecture...!
What do you like best about the product?
Scylla is a great open-source wide column no-sql database. if you have millions of records and wanna ingest or access them in no time then Scylla is for you. I loved the shard architecture.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't find any drawback yet with the open-source version it is quite versatile and given less downtime than others and it's doesn't rely on page cache so latency is pretty low.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are collecting a lot of data from different sources like api's, sensors or telemetry mostly unstructured data. since the data is in higher volume, we are ingesting data as it is in scyllaDB.
ScyllaDB is best in market with merits of high scalability and easy to use

I love the performance and the cost savings part of ScyllaDB.

I have not found anything I dislike about ScyllaDB so far.

Performance and the costs were the most important factors for us which are fulfilled by ScyllaDB.
ScyllaDB is a marvelous option for developing your Go API
What do you like best about the product?
It is so easy to deploy that it is scary! Before using it I was stuck with other options that either didn't solve my problems completely or were super complicated to set up in my infrastructure. ScyllaDB on the other hand, is magically easy!
What do you dislike about the product?
It could have a GUI for the open-source version, but to be honest I understand that being a Open Source project, some features are only offered in a commercial licence.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed ScyllaDB for implementing a Video and Audio engineering codec repository so I could catalog videos and audios for my company, The main benefit is not being stuck to domain modelling like in a SQL database, which is mandatory when you are dealing with video and audio codec metadata.
The best open source software with apache cassendra
What do you like best about the product?
The best thing is that it is providing open source project with integration with apache cassendra and google that is truly useful and it rally helped me to scale by database.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think scylla db should also get integration with amazon web services
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
First that being a early stage software startup we dont have too much funding so its open source community helped us to grow and learn

yes i truley recommend this software
Maybe the faster NoSQL database
What do you like best about the product?
Its price is not high for everything it offers, even if we don't use all its functions. It processes information in a short time. The company's customer service is excellent, and I love it.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing really negative about ScyllaBD. It is a little difficult to understand for non-programmers or novices, but it is not an inaccessible program. It is excellent software for me.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We mainly use the software to generate reports. It is also helpful for backups and restores, especially in operations equipment. ScyllaDB quickly restores to the latest version when a problem occurs. We can even access previous versions in our database without interrupting the workflow.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Contact support if you don't understand something. The documentation is a bit sparse, but it is worth learning how to use it. I also highly recommend taking Scylla University to get the most out of the use of the program.
