Blazingly fast and scalable with more than 50k+ queries going per seconds.
Docker images are easy to setup and docs are very relevant along with good tutorials at university.scylladb.com.
Its a stable database giving high availability and high performance after tweaking and tuning for particular usecase.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no autoconfig which can set tunables optimal for a given hardware which is must to get high performance.
Other than that, there are not major downsides except there is not much gain from the scylladb if request rates are very low. Other databases perform better for smaller usecases.

Highly scalable and low latency db
What do you like best about the product?
I’m fascinated to use scylladb in my recent engagement where we are utilising the multiple features of scylladb like high performance, scalable and fault tolerant database. Full pack db making it our go to nosql db.
What do you dislike about the product?
My team always gets stuck, and it’s hard to figure out the issue due to the lack of customer support or because it's a bit complex to get started.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ScyllaDB solves high-performance, low-latency database challenges, benefiting with faster data access and scalability.
Performance and Scalability in NoSQL Databases
What do you like best about the product?
With low latency and great throughput, ScyllaDB is renowned for its excellent performance. It is capable of effectively managing several concurrent requests and massive volumes of data. You may easily add more nodes to your cluster without experiencing major downtime or reconfiguration because to its easy horizontal scaling. It is hence appropriate for expanding applications. ScyllaDB and Apache Cassandra can coexist, allowing you to migrate your data with no difficulty using the same client drivers and tools. To provide optimal performance and an even load distribution among nodes, the database automatically shards data.
What do you dislike about the product?
In order to attain its high performance, ScyllaDB can be rather resource-intensive, requiring a large amount of CPU and RAM. When compared to certain alternative NoSQL systems, this may result in increased infrastructure expenses. ScyllaDB has good performance, but careful configuration and tuning may be necessary to get the best results. This can be difficult and time-consuming.There may occasionally be latency spikes due to a variety of factors, including heavy write workloads or node failures. Even though they are uncommon, these can affect applications that need a constant low latency.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ScyllaDB is perfect for applications that need to process data in real-time and respond quickly because of its design to provide both high throughput and low latency. Users gain from this since it makes it possible for them to effectively manage massive data volumes and several concurrent requests, guaranteeing a seamless user experience. ScyllaDB easily expands horizontally, enabling customers to grow their cluster by adding more nodes without requiring a lot of reconfiguration or downtime. Users gain from this since it smoothly handles increasing data quantities and user demands without sacrificing speed. ScyllaDB is compatible with Cassandra, allowing users to take advantage of the client drivers, tools, and knowledge already in place. Users gain from this since it facilitates a seamless transfer and lowers the learning curve for teams that are already acquainted with Cassandra.
Optimizing Data Management with ScyllaDB: A Review
What do you like best about the product?
The outstanding performance and scalability of ScyllaDB are what I find most appealing. It is remarkable that ScyllaDB can maintain high throughput and low latency even when it is under a lot of demand. Its perfect integration with Cassandra guarantees a seamless transfer at a markedly enhanced speed. Furthermore, ScyllaDB is a reliable and affordable option for managing massive, real-time data workloads because to its auto-tuning features and smart use of hardware resources. For contemporary data management requirements, ScyllaDB is a strong and dependable option because of its user-friendly interface and extensive monitoring features, which further improve the whole experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
The setup and configuration complexity of ScyllaDB, which can be difficult for novices, is what I find objectionable. Furthermore, the documentation, while extensive, sometimes lacks clarity for advanced features.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ScyllaDB addresses scalability and high-latency problems in data management. We gain from its enhanced performance and economical use of resources, which allow for real-time analytics and the smooth management of heavy workloads.
