Status verification fails - RDP connection does not work
I tried twice launch this AMI, in both cases I could not get Windows password in
EC2 Instances/Connect/Get Windows password and in both cases I could not connect using windows RDP . I quit.

You're not using it properly. The default password is the instance ID for user admin.
As mentioned in other posts - user must use a xlarge or larger instance type at first boot and can scale down once updates are done. The xlarge is only 4CPU and 8Gb memory, and Windows 10 is a memory and CPU hog. The image is from Jan 2022, so there is about a year of patches to load and the instance password set (to instance ID) may not complete until after all updates are done. Slowness to be ready on first boot and time to set Administrator password is a factor of the instance size and the responsiveness of Windows Update servers. An instance type less than 'large' at first boot might take hours to be ready, so user should use a 2xlarge or larger for first boot, if time is a concern. User should use the instance 'screen snapshot' feature to know when updates have completed.
