How to increase the C Drive Space
Hello,
This works really good for me. But it seems I'm unable to increase the C drive space even though I added 80GB when provisioning the EC2. Problem is there is a recovery partition in between the C drive and the unallocated space in the disk management console. Is there a way to easily increase the C drive space ?

Thank you for using the image. Due to the complexity of Windows 10 in AWS, earlier iterations could not easily resize. For Windows 10, follow this on how to delete your recovery partition, which you can't use in AWS, to create a contiguous space that allows expansion: http://technology-leadership.com/?page_id=1434 With that said, I am encouraging customers to go with Windows 11 if their Windows based application products will run on it. The partition table is laid out better in the Windows 11 AMI, so C can auto-expand without manual intervention. Note: that there are many GIGABYTES of patching for Windows 10 and Windows 11 that need to occur. Where possible, use a bigger instance size for this first set of updates. Due to how updates are applied and often withdrawn or re-released, bundling updates with a new AMI have been found to yield unpredictable results, stemming from the patches themselves. We don't see as much instability when patching the original release, or releases you have already patched in the past, with what is available at that moment in time.
