Easy to Use
What do you like best about the product?
As a novice web developer Pantheon is my go-to choice for my websites. I have never had any issues and navigating the interface is extremely straightforward. It is also very fast.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing! I do not have any dislikes about Pantheon
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pantheon allows me to create staging sites easily and quickly.

What do you like best about the product?
I have about 15 sites that I host with Pantheon. Some are Wordpress and some Drupal. The support, the UI, the experience are all top notch.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is substantial, it goes up every year and at some point it will be cost prohibitive, but its top of the line.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Easy of doing business. Makes my life and webmaster, designer, and developer so much simpler.

What do you like best about the product?
Consistent, reliable service that allows our developers to do the work they need to efficiently. Automated SSL certs, Terminus CLI tool and multi-dev are some of our favorite features.
What do you dislike about the product?
Things like SOLR and MariaDB versions are outdated, but that seems to be in the works!

In this day and age, it makes no sense to try and host your own Wordpress or Drupal site. Pantheon has this dialed.

My workplace had no implementation for wordpress development. Each site had its own nuances and it made it a mess to work with.

Due to it being an online service there have been outages during work hours

Read the documentation. It is highly detailed and will open your eyes to the possibilities pantheon allows.
Easily one of the top WordPress hosts on the planet
What do you like best about the product?
The Pantheon Workflow is easily the best feature. I can start building a clients site with no charge. Once I have it ready, and the client approves it, I can easily launch the site either to my account, or the customers. I love this! And the ability to test changes without fear of breaking the live site is amazing.
What do you dislike about the product?
The price is a bit more than I would like, but at the same time, it is fair for what you get.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I used to be forced to set up complicated server platforms in order to get a true test of a site. But with Pantheons workflow, I can test a site in an identical environment to the live environment. So I know for a fact the site will not break once I push it live.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you work with clients, you need pantheon. Stop paying for hosting sites while in development. Stage them free and when you are ready for a site to go live, switch it to a paid plan to get the best features and support!
Not bad for a designer
What do you like best about the product?
The ability to modify WordPress files without actually logging into WordPress. You can also upload files without an FTP (via SMTP).
What do you dislike about the product?
Highly technical functions can only be used through git, and I'm not familiar with it. It would be nice to have more detailed instructions about using git--like git for dummies.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting around old architecture by utilizing plugins allows me to implement new pages with new styles that would conflict with the back-end styles already in place. Pantheon has given me the ability to create new pages quickly with Bootstrap, which is not possible in the back-end architecture of our application.

What do you like best about the product?
multi dev. its awesome to test new features without affecting the repo.
What do you dislike about the product?
downloading exported db's and files. Its a pain, but at least i can download from the command line.

What do you like best about the product?
The development environment is awesome. It’s super quick and easy to spin up staging sites for my client projects, or even for testing out new ideas.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes migrating a development site to a different server can be complicated, e.g. with a WordPress site, the ‘uploads’ folder in the Pantheon install is not in the same location as it is with an out of the box install. This isn’t really a dislike, just a minor inconvenience since it adds an extra step in the migration process.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The ease of spinning up free development sites for clients before committing to the cost of hosting.

What do you like best about the product?
Pantheon is always innovating their product to stay inline or ahead of industry best practices. Their tools are second to none, and polished to the point that we can include non-technical personnel in the development process. They are incredibly attentive to our needs, and offer valuable guidance on how we can better use their platform. We get an immense amount of value from this platform in terms of infrastructure and tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
Finding things we dislike becomes increasingly difficult.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Pantheon offers tools for our support teams to push approved changes to live customer sites, tools for developers to quickly test and deploy changes, and a stable, managed infrastructure that our DevOps team does not need to worry about.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you manage a development workflow right now using custom infrastructure, you do not know yet what you are missing. Between multi-devs, Terminus, and a number of other tools, Pantheon will transform your process, make your developers better at what they do, and bring stresses about availability down to a minimum.
