Executing sql queries are way faster compare to oracle, amazing database for analytical queries

Teradata is not cost friendly compared to oracle but with high data volume, scalability & speed, TD is way better than oracle

Its fast and capable of handling heavy tables

The cost is very high for hardware, and the support takes long time, plus its little different than traditional SQL

Ease of using this tool is the best thing.

The only thing that I disliked was the hierarchy to be followed to even view a single column.

Advantages of teradata are Scalability, performance and adaptability.

Interface is outdated and needs expertise to best create tables so as to not 'skew' database

It's well suited to large organisations where multiple departments across large geographical regions need to access one centralised repository. It's not so well suited to small-medium sized organisations where databases are not so larg

What do you like best about the product?
Teradata is a solid performance DB and it's easy to fetch and append the data in the DB. Addition of rows of data and importing from data sources is easy.

The cost of implementation can be higher at time as compared to other DBs in the market.
