Powerful Tool, But Takes a While to Prove It

What do you like best about the product?
Blueshift is an incredibly dynamic email marketing tool.

Thankfully I'm well versed in HTML coding, so my templates look and function the way I want them. I could see someone getting frustrated with their Drag-and-drop Editor, but there are few (if any) platforms that have perfected that piece of software...My list of pros is as follows:

- Event tracking is in-depth and (sometimes) customizable depending on what you're trying to track
- Can add customer attributes dependent on source
- Segment builder is super fun to use, and it's very easy to create campaigns in the same winow
- Platform is crazy fast. We came from a system that look literally days to upload a list larger than 400k contacts, so it was refreshing to move around in Blueshift with little to no load time troubles.
- Tags...I know this is a weird one, but they have a filtering system where you can tag segments, templates, and campaigns under a tag filter. This makes things super easy to find, and the ability to add the tag is great. I'd suggest tackling this as a framework so you don't end up with 50 tags.
- Testing...the ease and dynamic-ness of testing in Blueshift is super fun. It takes some time learning how to create proper tests if you're getting a crazy with multiple sequences, but it is possible. I vet every segment, campaign, and test with my account rep to validate I'm doing it correctly, so I'd encourage others to do the same.
What do you dislike about the product?
There's not much I don't like about Blueshift, but I have run into a few issues:

- If you don't have a dedicated Backend Engineer or Data Science team that can help construct the data within your catalog, it's going to be a tricky process. We have a custom backend, so setup can take a while.
- We had some data with our events get messed up in the revenue department...this could have easily been spotted when we passed the initial data over, but it was not caught by our account rep and we had inaccurate revenue numbers for the first week of being in Blueshift.
- The save feature can be spotty at times.
- Segments will take a while to understand, and building them confidently will be a decently long process. It takes time, but it's totally worth it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blueshift has enabled our company to fully realize the impact of email and automation on our company's marketing efforts.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Really evaluate if you have the team for this kind of build. It's a huge undertaking if you don't have a team of engineers.

A powerhouse of NASA Grade technology

What do you like best about the product?
Honestly? Triggered campaigns are pretty damn cool, they're essentially set and forget - but obviously don't actually forget about them - you should probably check them from time to time :P

Also the bee template builder shared assets feature, from a dev point of view means a lot of good code re-use. That plus the power of bee templates has really empowered our marketing team when it comes to their velocity and quality.

Blueshift's connectivity with a bazillion different platforms is a definite win also, although it can be overwhelming at first!

The recommendations system is very powerful, but can be tricky to onboard with at first. You can pretty much do anything you want in there though once you get going.
What do you dislike about the product?
The UI can be a bit tricky to navigate, not everything is super clear at first. But I've found that you can usually get any questions you have cleared up on a call with your account manager. It would be good to see all the documentation updated comprehensively though!

The staff user limit is a bit weird, I've often wondered why it has to cost us more to get a few extra staff member accounts added.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've needed a single platform to manage our outgoing campaigns for a while. Blueshift solves that problem easily, but then also delivers a bazillion other features which honestly - is a bit overwhelming at first - but also exciting. We've barely scratched the surface in terms of what it can offer, and it's become a massive priority for us as a business to start utilizing the platform and it's many capabilities more!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider if you are ready for the feature-set that blueshift has to offer. If you just need simple EDM software for some basic campaigns, Blueshift probably isn't for you. If you're a larger corporation who want's a very personal 1:1 connection with your customers, I'd hands-down recommend Blueshift.

What do you like best about the product?
You can easily upload customer email lists. I like that there are a lot of pre-existing templates you can choose from if you don't want to build one from scratch. Most of the documentation is very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation on how to actually implement tags would be nice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blueshift will replace a slow and outdated email messaging platform. Blueshift will be a reliable system as it uses a NoSQL database that is horizontally distributed in shards. Resource availability should never be an issue.

What do you like best about the product?
Blueshift is fairly easy to design templates in, and this is especially helpful in terms of reusing/redesigning if you're in the market of sending fairly regularly.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's not exactly the most user friendly ESP on the market, but the customer service reps are there to run you through anything you have issues with, and are always quick to find solutions to any problems you have along the way.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting the word out on the latest content for my company's website is a must, and Blueshift ensures it gets to where it's designated and is constantly improving the platform with new features to track insights for the best results possible.

What do you like best about the product?
Blueshift makes it very easy to map out email actions, automations, and triggers. It also helps with cross channel marketing, allowing us to easily integrate multiple marketing sources in order to complete the customer journey.
What do you dislike about the product?
My least favorite part about Blueshift would be the reporting. Reporting is not the best all in one solution. I wish we could see everything including revenue all in one spot or at least have more third party integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blueshift has made it very easy to execute marketing automation by allowing us to easily Segment, Target, and filter our contacts. The benefit of having a friendly user interface, makes it much quicker to do these advances processes.

What do you like best about the product?
The flexibility of Blueshift's system has been amazing so far for our life-cycle communication plans.
What do you dislike about the product?
The system is sometimes a bit slow, especially when loading user profiles and calculating segment sizes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Blueshift has really allowed us to implement our life-cycle communications plans the way we want to. It has also helped us monitor our deliverability and engagement better.

Great tool for personalised and automated email marketing

What do you like best about the product?
The automated campaigns we have set up based on user's interactions with the website have been highly beneficial to our company. The ability to implement A/B testing at ease has reaped great insight into user's preferences.
What do you dislike about the product?
Building segments can be done in multiple ways and it is often unclear which would be the most effective.
Reports showing the amount of links on individual links are not displayed in a user friendly way. Heat maps would be much clearer and preferable.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The automated campaigns we have set up with Blueshift that are triggered on users' actions have freed up our time as marketers to focus on more creative marketing campaigns.

What do you like best about the product?
It's great how we can segment our customers in Blueshift using their segmentation module. This helps us reach the right customers with the right kind of communication.
What do you dislike about the product?
One downside that we have noticed while using Blueshift is that campaigns take quite long to send out. Although our customer lists are quite huge, we haven't faced similar issues when using any other platforms
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Through Blueshifts recommendation logic, we are able to show customers products that they are really interested in which in turn makes a huge impact on our clicks, opens, etc

What do you like best about the product?
Best way to manage our email campaign and conduct our test for email marketing. It has not very complex UI.
What do you dislike about the product?
Maintains only last data that who has updated the template.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using this tool for email marketing. It has really eased in handling our email campaigns. It's integration with segment and other tools also helped and increase our performance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Use this product to increase the marketing with ease. Will not regret after use.

What do you like best about the product?
Fast, easy and logical to use. Makes CRM a whole lot easier.
What do you dislike about the product?
Automating emails can be a little confusing and intimidating to newcomers, but I guess that comes with any new tool.

We're using blueshift to automate our marketing and create email work flows that will push online sales
