What do you like best about the product?
IBM API Connect will offer you broad management capabilities of your APIs. Be it REST, WSDL or even AsyncAPI documents.
You get a nice developer portal too. Nice division of roles and in latest versions, great support for DevOps.

What do you dislike about the product?
When it comes to implementing API gateways you can use powerful IBM DataPower which serves as a gateway. But you must be prepared to acquire knowledge of it if you don't already know it. Documentation for programming could be better.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When you need to take control of your API lifecycle APIC is hard to beat. You can safely develop new APIs in local sandbox and when ready publish them to the public.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
IBM APIC can be a bit difficult to set up if you are not knowing Kubernetes.

What do you like best about the product?
We can configure multiple key stores and trust stores which helps operationally to manage the certs.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no out-of-the-box feature to create the self-signed certificates, you have to use open_ssl or some other tools to create the certficates.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
API Connect helps to securely expose the API's to internal and external users. It provides all the features required for Full API life cycle management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Industry accelerators are not mature, IBM has to work on providing templates and samples and good documentation.

Best Platform to expose API. Easy to explore on IBM APIC components like Cloud manager,API manager,Datapower,Developer portal

1) There is no node for communicating queues directly.
2) Not able to install all components of APIC in local machine.

1) API management is the set of people, processes and technology that enables an organization to safely and securely publish APIs, either internally or externally.

What do you like best about the product?
It has included support for GraphQL APIs and having all API in one place, helping us focus on implementation rather than monitoring, logging, debugging, security etc. So in one sentence, it increased developer productivity.
What do you dislike about the product?
The monetization module could be better, It's the marketplace is still growing, When it has huge customers out there, our revenue for our APIs will grow. As of now, it's low relatively.

Easy to learn, simple to implement REST API proxies with security provided by IBM DataPower Gateway.

What do you dislike about the product?
Critical transformations are a little bit difficult. Other than HTTP connections, for the remaining protocols, we need to rely on code. For logging also we need to rely on DataPower
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Whenever an API needs to be exposed to an outside environment, we can simply create a proxy and provide it to the outside environment. DataPower security features can be utilized by using API Connect.

What do you like best about the product?
I like it because it has very good debugging features and analytics plus the developer portal for your clients and reduce burden to make separate portal to expose API detail'

Though it provide API authentication mechanism but it lack feature to bind token againsts session/user. There should a way to do soo

For me it act as a gateway for outside world.

What do you like best about the product?
Very frendly web interface for configuration of APIs, we learned very quickly how to configure and deploy our APIs at secure maner.
At that ti.e API management was new topic for us. We needed reliable solution for more than 10 network banks.

What do you dislike about the product?
We have choosed cloud deployment of API gateway, acter some time we have realized that we can not administer API Connect by ourselves, but we have to write a tiket if we want some configuration change.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We needed realiable API management solution for our group project. Solution has to be simple for use, we asked for solution that can simply convert payload from XML to JSON.
