CloudCheckr : only somewhat less overwhelming than Amazon Cost Controls
What do you like best about the product?
CloudCheckr has a slick GUI to show information about your Amazon deployed resources. It also has the capabilities to scan Google and Azure. It is a simple way to see month over month billing differences, far easier than the Amazon-provided Cost Management dashboard.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface sometimes doesn't load reliably, and it can be slow to load at times. Sometimes queries that you think should be simple to obtain require a call to support to find out which menu option it is hidden under.
Calculation of ReservedInstance usage has been historically very inaccurate, to the point of being misleading.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
CloudCheckr makes it easier to track down errant resources within Amazon. For a large company with many divisions consuming resources, this can be very useful. For a small company, where resources are controlled by a smaller team, it can be overkill.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I only advise going to CloudCheckr for large organizations with disparate departments who are disconnected that need to get a holistic overview of their spend.
