The Drata platform is very easy to navigate
What do you like best about the product?
The most helpful about Drata is the convenience of having a centralized place to gather all the information required for the audits. I am not sure how this platform compares to the competitors because we have not used any other platforms.
What do you dislike about the product?
The only downside of Drata at the moment is not being able to sync our new PEO platform with Drata. It would be helpful to be able to sync our new PEO with Drata to avoid any manual entries.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata is preventing us for having to create a massive spreadsheet to gather all the information required for audits. It provides a centralized place for all the information needed.

Drata rocks!
What do you like best about the product?
We onboarded to Drata and within 1 week of working with their team got a picture of where we fell short on compliance measures. Our Success rep Laci works with us every other week to keep us on track for progress towards compliance and helps advise and knock down blockers for us to meet our goals! Great experience!
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing yet! I'm actually looking forward to getting auditors into the tool to make it super easy!

Security Compliance Automation That Goes Beyond Checking the Box
What do you like best about the product?
Drata is an easy-to-use tool that helps security leaders accelerate their security compliance efforts. As a security leader, I'm building a risk-based program based on threats to our organization. I was drawn to Drata because it allows me to customize our compliance efforts and not simply do a check the box exercise. I like how Drata realizes that security isn't a one-size-fits-all approach and provides tools to customize controls, frameworks, and policies without sacrificing automation. Gabe Bidot has been phenomenal as a customer success rep by understanding our goals, offering suggestions to help us to reach them as quickly as possible, and responding promptly to any questions we might have. The pace of new product releases at Drata is also great - they understand their customers and are constantly pushing new features to continue improving the platform. I also really like how you can generate a security report that can be sent to prospective customers so they can see your current control posture.
What do you dislike about the product?
As an additional step in their automation service, it would be great for the platform to connect background checks to employees automatically. The out-of-the-box risk assessment is more of a control assessment than a threat-based risk assessment, but Drata recently released additional risk assessment capabilities as an add-on.

What do you like best about the product?
There are so many good things to say about Drata. First and foremost, the quality and philosophy of support at Drata are unparalleled. Gabe Bidot has been a delight to work with and has expertly guided us throughout the process. The onboarding workflow and support system overall have been remarkably smooth. I can't say enough about Gabe and his team - they are excellent and a good enough reason alone to choose Drata.
From a technical standpoint, Drata is superb in usability, design and integrations. The platform guides you through the convoluted compliance process gracefully and the UI allows you to quickly identify and address problem areas. The documentation is thorough and very specific to the various nuanced hurdles you will face as you pursue compliance. The Drata team has clearly put an immense amount of work into it.
Drata takes the onerous and sometimes backward process of compliance and wrangles it into a modern interface and an enjoyable customer experience.
If you are on the fence, go with Drata. You won't be disappointed.

Drata is helping us move through our SOC 1 and 2 certification process by disambiguating so much of the process and giving excellent guidance along the way.
Not sure how we'd get through SOC2 prep without Drata
What do you like best about the product?
Quick view into our current readiness. Without the structure provided by Drata I'm not sure how we'd navigate the SOC2 journey. Tayler Gase, our customer success manager, has been essential to our progress. Her guidance and assistance has helped us better understand the SOC2 process and how to best leverage Drata
What do you dislike about the product?
Product is great but still maturing. Most aspects of the service work exactly as expected but some features need to mature further. For example, custom policies have to be created outside of Drata and uploaded into the platform. Once uploaded, they are in a static, uneditable format and any changes require offline editing and upload of a new version. There is also no linkage between controls that are in-scope and our selected trust service criteria. If we disable a TSC, the related controls remain in-scope.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a small company, SOC2 seems like a daunting process. Without a tool like Drata, building the policies, documenting all of the organizational requirements, and determining audit-readiness would be a near impossible task without hiring staff or consultants to handle the workload. Drata provides organization and structure to the SOC2 process and gives a real-time window into audit / compliance readiness.
We reviewed 7 different platforms across a range of criteria and Drata came out on top.
What do you like best about the product?
We've been using Drata for about 3 weeks and frankly, we can't imagine doing all this work outside of a platform. Extra special has been the work of Tayler Gase. She's done a great job getting us started and oriented with the entire platform,
What do you dislike about the product?
While Drata is extremely helpful, there are areas where I expect to see great improvement over time. We found some minor bugs and areas where better AI would be helpful. For example, reminder emails are not customizable, the linkage between controls and policies is weak, requiring manual management of both. We'd like better support for custom policies including editing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata is helping build a comprehensive global, risk and compliance program. It reduces the guesswork required to build a SOC 2 compliant program and their ecosystem of auditors and technology partners helps to move quickly.

we did have one small bug for a while associated with a release - but they worked hard to fix it.

First steps with Drata
What do you like best about the product?
The tool's simplicity and design and the account manager's support. The automation provided and the templates that come with it make all the efforts much lighter.
What do you dislike about the product?
None at the moment. We only began the deployment a few weeks ago and are still in a very early stage to be able to comment further on the experience with the product.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Drata is helping us to achieve ISO 27001 with all the benefits of having a standardized best practices approach to information security. Using Drata we can achieve the certification much faster due to automation.

What do you like best about the product?
Drata offers a robust platform that meets all of our security requirements alongside gold-standard service to support the implementation process. My company is currently working through a very rapid initiative to improve our security compliance program. Both the functionality and support from Drata have been invaluable in the process. Everyone involved has gone above and beyond to match our commitment level and timeline goals.

Nothing to note, the experience so far has been fantastic.

With a combined software and service offering, Drata makes it possible to meet security and privacy requirements, monitor for ongoing compliance, and accumulate and maintain evidence, all in one very efficient and effective package.
