Pretty flexible, after time it's start to be hard to maintain

Flexibility, you can do your things with the portal or API, a lot of plugins to fit all reguirments

after some time it's hard to maintain all your routes, it's should also logic connected to the developer portal

There are not enough online resources for the complicated scenario-based demo or troubleshooting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Kong API as an ingress controller with the Kubernetes platform and a tool for enterprise-level API management.
It's easy to use and it's packed with features
What do you like best about the product?
I like the ability to configure services, routes, and plugins through Kong Manager. I also like how developers can use the Dev Portal to create and manage API credentials. I was most impressed with the feature of developing custom plugins using Kong PDK and Lua.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wouldn't say I liked that it was troublesome to create unit tests for the custom plugins. When we started using Kong Gateway, it was also not simple to have automated integration tests. It's not immediately clear how to retrieve graphic results from the Kong Vitals feature for requests that occurred more than 12 hours ago (I don't know if it is possible, we're using Kong 2.1.3.1).

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're providing secure access to our company's microservice APIs. We can manipulate incoming requests to identify users, provide additional information and perform necessary processing before reaching upstream services. We can also provide monitoring and troubleshooting support regarding microservice traffic. The most significant benefit is the ease of configuration via bundled and custom plugins.

What do you like best about the product?
Kong provide advance features, It works well in modern IT landscape in exposing microservice based apps & it can be scaled horizontally. It has Greater adoption and allows much better customization
What do you dislike about the product?
Kong currently provides lower Transformation support as compared to other Platforms and it also has Higher cost for implementing the Enterprise version. It also has moderate complexity while installing.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Using Kong API platforms, the deployments and API life cycle management are more Agile and easier to implement. In terms of performance, it works very well thus allows ease of mind

What do you like best about the product?
Kong Gateway's new features focus on enhancing its AI Gateway capabilities and improving overall performance and security. There are rumours that Kong is promoting the Gateway to General Availability and introducing semantic intelligence for accelerated GenAI performance and LLM security. That would be awesome!
What do you dislike about the product?
Possibly think on ways where its usage can be cheaper or easier to adopt by SMB.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With an API strategy, corporations can start to bridge the gap between legacy systems and new channels or platforms required to be more agile, flexible and easier to implement. Kong offers not only that but also the ability to have an API platform implemented by baby steps that is always a big advantage and solves many questions about 'what is needed to open ourselves into the external partner community'. These are some of the benefits and problems solved by the API strategy and using Kong as your partner.

Kong - cost-effective API gateway
What do you like best about the product?
In addition to authenticating requests and enforcing security standards, the API Gateway may also load balance across backend services. In this way, Kong is a cost-effective solution. The system comes with hundreds of built-in plugins, but new plugins may also be written to meet specific needs.
What do you dislike about the product?
To create a custom plugin, Lua knowledge is required.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of our projects required an API gateway to act as a gatekeeper, and we were in the process of creating a distributed architecture. Kong Konnect offers a wide range of features, so that's what we go with. Also, this API gateway helps to simplify their client and server code by reducing the number of variables. Moreover, this programme is extensible via plugins.
Great product, fantastic support
What do you like best about the product?
Opensource, easy to setup and use and is full of features to meet our use cases and more.
What do you dislike about the product?
Still to early to tell for us, but the go-plugin server can be a pain to deploy. Good strides have been made to make it easier.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
For now, just api-gateway, JWT validation, OAuth2. Possibly AppMesh.
Mashape's Kong API cloud support is great.
What do you like best about the product?
I love the versatility of Kong. It pretty much will run on any platform and the price point from my understanding isn't that much as well. Great for all types of businesses.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is good for small APIs but the moment I tried to connect to a big one, it immediately started blocking.

It manages multiple APIs at a very efficient way. I like the userface.

What do you like best about the product?
First of all it is easy to setup and start playing with. It is super important for microservices to have full control and it is easily deployable.
What do you dislike about the product?
actually there is nothing that i can not already implement with kong, i just wish it was easier to implement plugins based on more popular languages like python, ruby or even javascript.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
i can easily add an extra layer of permissions and even more on top of my API
