Sometimes -Its essential to carefully configure and optimize it to minimize any potential performance impact.Limited plugins as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kong offers good traffic control capabilities, including load balancing and request routing. It enables us to efficiently distribute incoming API requests across multiple backend services, ensuring scalability, high availability, and optimal resource utilization.

Kong API gateway has a simple manager GUI that facilitates the configuration; it is easy to get started fast using this GUI. Also, plugin support and modularity are big advantages of Kong.
What do you dislike about the product?
Documentation would be better if it contained detailed steps for configuring Postgres.
Also, datastore support is limited to Postgres; it will be better to support other DB like MySQL.
