Ardoq is helping to transform the value proposition of EA

What do you like best about the product?
Ardoq can model and organise anything! It's great for letting stakeholders self-serve on current-state landscape and impact analysis. It really is a one-stop shop for keeping track of EA, Enterprise risk, process portfolio management. The company is incredibly responsive - with support built into the product itself.
What do you dislike about the product?
Because you can do anything ten different ways, you really have to focus on standards - consistent setup and helpful ways to get data in. Ardoq helps e.g. Excel input, UI, Surveys, API. But be aware that not everyone will gravitate towards using the main UI.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ardoq keeps track of my architecture development plans, business and technical capability catalogues, technology lifecycle, application catalogue, roles and business organisation maps, and our integration and system landscape - without relying on manual drawing and diagramming. The benefit is huge as it lets you drive value out of your models rather than having them sit stagnant in a traditional repository. And we're working towards improving this further by automagically bringing in information from the live environment (service deployments, people & role etc) - so that your EA is just there in front of you. It essentially lets us punch above our weight (so to speak) by letting our EA's focus on value delivery to stakeholders rather than keeping diagrams up-to-date.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you go all in with onboarding rather than just one or two in a team.

Ardoq is essential

What do you like best about the product?
Ardoq has the unique ability to make the complex and unknowable into simple and known. Not only that, it provides a platform of business knowledge that allows one to make strategic decisions that are no longer based on guess work and hope.
What do you dislike about the product?
The GUI has a somewhat high learning curve. This isn't a problem as most users will interact with the presentations or surveys.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are mapping our complex organisation in terms of who works here, on what do they work, what does the thing that they work on actually do...and which customers actually use or want to use these things.

We started quite unambitious, but after getting more experience with Ardoq we have continued to add scope that gives exponential value.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have an organisation that struggles to know what assets it has...in terms of employee expertise, company product portfolio, customer product usage etc...then Ardoq is the tool for you.
