FloQast: Excellent for the Accounting Close
What do you like best about the product?
FloQast is one of the best solutions to assist any accounting or finance team with the accounting close. Between the robust reconciliations that create a strong audit trail, to checklist items to standardize the close items to be done by whom and at what time, to flux analysis of the financial statements, to keeping the close efficient, accurate, and timely, FloQast is one of the better solutions to work with any accounting system to help with the accounting close.
What do you dislike about the product?
Floqast is great, and it does well in the area that it focuses its attention (accounting close, flux analysis, checklist and knowledge management, reconciliation management)-- if you are looking for a dedicated FP&A system (such as an Adaptive Insights) or a Financial Reporting software for financial statements (such as Workiva), this software doesn't play in these spaces, it truly shines in financial close.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FloQast helps standardize the close for our team, where we have assigned close activities for all of our team members, ensuring all checklist items are reviewed and approved, and ensuring that reconciliations (especially balance sheet reconciliations) are robust and accurate. Intuitive software, easy to use, that solves a very specific niche.

Helps the team keep track of all checklist items and reconciliations completeness for month-end close.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have not yet experienced any downside with FloQast at the moment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FloQast helped us keep track and meet deadlines of all tasks across worlflows with daily email reminders of due items, ready to review items and notes.

What do you like best about the product?
The auto reconciliation process is accurate and saves me time on the multiple accounts I have to reconcile. It also lists all outstanding in increments of 30, 60, and >90 days.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once I have learned how to use the program, I don't have any dislikes. I've been using it for over a year. Getting the settings set up for each account can be tricky, but if any issues arise, FloQast support is always willing to help.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
When I have had issues in the past, I have emailed them, and they identify what problem I am having and solve it promptly. They also help in differentiating if the issue I am having is on FloQast side or our side, and our IT department will need to look into it.
Its very user friendly.

I love the way you can track your closing actions.

I don't dislike, I would like more training

What do you like best about the product?
We were already using FloQast for our close process, and it has helped tremendously with staying compliant and ensuring all our required tasks are done. I discovered that FloQast allows us to track our payroll processing checklist across all of our entities. Mark Van Ells at FloQast has been super helpful in getting this functionality added to our FloQast instance.
What do you dislike about the product?
I have not found anything yet that I dislike about FloQast.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were previously tracking our checklist via spreadsheets which is not the best practice. FloQast allows us to have a better record of our processes.
It takes away the manual to-do list (i.e. Excel) for every month-end close.
What do you like best about the product?
I like FloQast as a tool to remind me what is on my list for every month-end close. It also helps me to keep track if I am behind or if I am missing something. Also the auto reconciliation is wonderful!
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't particularly have any specific dislikes, but some pointers would be that I can sign-offs on reviewers' and sometimes FloQast is not using updated data from NetSuite for some reason.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FloQast is solving manual work/effort in writing up tasks/lists for month-end close (e.g. using Excel) with just a single click for sign-offs. Moreover, we can check who signed off, at what date, and to what task.

What do you like best about the product?
Easier sign-offs procedures and tracking in FloQast for our files. I really appreciate not having to send numerous emails to chase signatures.

What do you dislike about the product?
Too many notifications for updates to Egnyte / documents that are outside of my area - I wish I could filter notifications.
I love the version control for files but am still apprehensive about losing a document.
Currently, we are missing automation to have a direct data feed to our ERP system.

Timely sign-off, document organization for audit purposes, reconciliations review, and facilitate monthly close.
FQ Review - Recommendation
What do you like best about the product?
All close components for different members of our team are housed in one centralized place, and everyone has visibility to status of different areas and close as a whole.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is no ability to maintain a perpetual checklist for larger scale projects - while it is helpful for the month-end close, it's not helpful at all for our broader initiatives.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FloQast creates efficiency and solves any communication gaps as it comes to close cadence.

What do you like best about the product?
Sending automated emails to employees to remind them to complete monthly or quarterly tasks. Also, able to auto-reconcile monthly reconciliations. I am not sure about competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
One thing that a dislike about Floqast is that you cannot have multiple tags in a reconciliation. This would help to reconcile multiple accounts in one excel workbook.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The problem Floqast is solving is keeping track of the close process, reviewing notes, and approvals, and ensuring our company is on schedule to close our book on time.

FloQast helps keep my projects, responsibilities, and tasks organized daily.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's possible to experience a delay or lag in FloQast as it updates comparisons across various apps and software.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
FloQast organizes my projects in a logical sequence by assigning due dates to help me stay on track daily, weekly, and monthly.
