Fast, Powerful Analytical Tool

  • March 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
AI Integration: The AI Lab and UDF (User Defined Functions) let you run Python, R, or Java scripts directly within the database, so you can execute machine learning models right where the data lives.
What do you dislike about the product?
Smaller Ecosystem/Community: Compared to giants like Snowflake or Databricks, the community is smaller. This can mean fewer third-party integrations and a smaller pool of pre-built "connectors" for niche SaaS tools.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It tackles the tension between data democratisation and security. With their new MCP (Model Context Protocol) server, we can allow AI agents and non-technical users to query the database in natural language without granting direct SQL access. That creates a read-only safety layer that helps prevent accidental data deletion, while still giving the business the real-time insights it needs.

Lightning-fast support and efficiency increase with EXASOL

  • March 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
I like the very good service at EXASOL, especially when there are problems. A new driver was provided with very high speed and efficiency. The team is very friendly and competent, both in sales, with EXASOL partners, and in support. After the initial performance issue, the solution with a new database driver made it possible to focus on technical problems. EXASOL just worked well.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are too few active partners available, which may lead to bottlenecks for consultants.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use EXASOL to manage our field service and sales network through sales statistics of insurance.

Light-Speed Performance and Superior Support

  • March 10, 2026
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Exasol delivers light-speed performance, with the option for data sovereignty through hosting in Exasol’s own data center or in-house. Support has also been consistently excellent and stands out as a real strength.

It is easy to use, you can even execute a full-featured local playground version.

With the service by Exasol you get started blazingly fast.

Performance and service come at a price.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Working with big data is still a challenge. But Exasol is the ideal platform for big data data analytics as well as base for light-speed reporting solutions.

Fastest Database | Onpremise/SaaS/Hybrid deployment options

  • May 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
- Unparalleled query performance: in-memory, massive-parallel processing cluster DB
- Suited for highly analytical workloads
- Comes with the ability to run custom build Python,Lua,R workloads *in database*
- New feature: "Lakehouse Turbo Charge" allows for highly performant queries against Apache Iceberg tables (an open table format) - data is no longer silo'ed in vendor specific systems
- Fast and competent customer support
What do you dislike about the product?
- Requires more setup steps and configuration effort than cloud-only SaaS databases
- Version upgrades have to be performed by DBAs
- less out of the box SQL functions (in particular semi-structured data) than competitors
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Exasol allows me to run a best-of-breed in my Data Lakehouse architecture and avoid vendor lock-in, by accessing/caching Apache Iceberg tables in my data lake.
It is more cost effective that common competitor clould databases/platforms.

Exasol solves the problem of slow, inefficient data analytics by providing an ultra-fast in-memory database designed for big data workloads eliminating bottlenecks in real-time analytics: Use it for Accelerating certain BI workloads. Even in existing DWH landscapes, you can offload (copy) performance-critical Tables/Data Marts into Exasol, giving you an immediate performance boost without refactoring

The benefits are clear: businesses gain instant access to actionable insights, reducing decision-making cycles from hours to seconds. Scalability ensures performance remains consistent as data grows, while cost efficiency outperforms proprietary alternatives like Oracle. For industries reliant on data-driven strategies (e.g., finance, telecom), Exasol’s speed and flexibility translate directly into competitive advantages, better resource allocation, and faster innovation.

The fastest database in the world

  • May 07, 2025
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
Performance, performance and performance for sure. That's awasome when you can query billion of rows and get results in less than one second. Quite impressive.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, sometimes Exasol optimizer chooses a non-efective way to execute complex queries. But I guess all of the database could have the same issues. Luckily there is some possibilities and tricks to make optimizer creating the better plan and improve performance, e.g. preprocessor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There are really a lot of historized data (billion of rows, terabytes of data, even in dimensions) which should be processed very fast to provide management reporting and regulatory reporting on time. Exasol allows us to make it
