One tool an API tester should never miss.
What do you like best about the product?
When an API has to be tested whether it's an third party api or self developed api, testing has made simple by its automation flow with a feature where we can call multiple requests at a time and expect the multiple response in one process. This multi threading process feature is the best of what it has got. To add one more thing is it's well built online documentation which provides wide range of knowledge on how to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
Considering my personal experience once I was in a situation where I was writing scripts to test for a particular project but when I came to a situation where I was unable to reuse the script also this is well designed for REST APIs but not for the SOAP APIs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I will be testing lot of third party APIs mostly REST APIs where I will be utilising the feature of bulk upload to load the multiple requests and to see the different outcomes of the APIs. Its User interface let's me group the project of APIs in well organised manner to test them in efficient way.

What do you like best about the product?
Postman is a very good and latest tool for API testing, it provides us every method for testing API's like get, put, post delete, etc. Postman helps us to send the body to put pr post request in every customizable form, we can send data in JSON, raw etc. We can also include headers in our request. It also provide a history option to see frequently hit endpoints.

What do you dislike about the product?
When copying tests from One folder to another, its saved as a copy.
-it is not well designed for SOAP APIs and other APIs.
-testers have to create new test scripts over and over for each project because of low script useability.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
test and modify the API.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes i highly recommended
Great for API webservices testing like REST
What do you like best about the product?
I also use SoapUI, and I use them both. But for specific use cases, I find Postman to be more intuitive. Also, it lets you create variables for the parameters in the requests.
What do you dislike about the product?
To be honest, I haven't found something I dislike about it yet. I mostly use it for API testing with my QA Team. And adding collections to it is pretty easy to use.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Adding collections provided to us by the Dev Team. Using the POST, GET, and PUT requests for most of my QA testing. Make sure the requests are actually going through to the third-party app we're communicating with.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you need API testing. Postman will definitely work. Most IT people like me already know this App. So, you won't be disappointed.
Great way to test APIs
What do you like best about the product?
The interface is robust but simple enough to test any API that you may have. Plus, the ability to save collections of them to share them with other team members is a great feature.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think you may need to create an account at some point, but I don't think you need to create one to run APIs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Testing APIs can be a bit tricky, especially if the API is a complex one. Postman gives all of the tools needed to test the API and see what results come back.
Test your APIs using postman

What do you dislike about the product?
It's testing area is limited i.e we can only test the restful APIs. It's not made to test for SOAP APIs.
Postman users cannot use their previous written script.
Postman users cannot use their previous written script.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use it for testing my APIs as I am mobile application developer I have to use APIs for the application so before integrating I check it in the post man whether it works or not.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Yes highly recommend.
Excellent app for api development and testing
What do you like best about the product?
I like how it syncs the workspaces with the account, I just need to login to postman account in a different machine and it's ready. The best feature hands down is generating code snippets for a given api
What do you dislike about the product?
There is nothing that I dislike so far in postman, I've been using it for developing rest api using django and I'm satisfied with it
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I copy api request from developer tools as copy as bash and import them in postman and use it to modify the request and test my rest api. For new api whose ui isn't integrated it is impossible to continue without postman, I test my api for all corner cases and then send it forward for ui integration
I would like to say API = Application postman interface not program interface
What do you like best about the product?
Me Being a backend developer one must know how their developed APIs work and the easy way is by using postman tool with such a wonderful organised user interface to test the APIs.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing much actually as it is already well organised one with the proper knowledge can use this tool with 0 hustle. but one drawback is that I get confused always with all those different authentication techniques as the interface is quite difficult to understand when it comes to authencation headers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a backend developer I will be testing lot of APIs which I will be developing using asp.net and postman is the simple application software to test the APIs and one of the best is I can debug my APIs using postman also.
Postman for api
What do you like best about the product?
You can test any type of api in this tool. This is user friendly and most commonly used for api calls and testing.
What do you dislike about the product?
We need to configure it and enter some values manually seperately. It should directly get configured.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Api issues. Normally to test it as old fashioned way, someone would need to create complete ui set up. With this we just need to enter url and the parameters required.
