Excellent Aggregations for quick analysis
What do you like best about the product?
What I like best about Kyvos is its ability to aggregate and analyze huge amounts of data quickly. It makes working with both historical and current data easy. The support team is also very responsive and helped us through the onboarding process.
What do you dislike about the product?
One challenge is that writing MDX queries requires an expert, which creates a heavy dependency on that person to make Kyvos work smoothly. If we want to create or modify something in MDX, we need that specific skill set, which can sometimes slow things down.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kyvos helps us bring all our data together in one place, and it works well with our existing data lake. We can analyze large datasets faster, which helps us meet our goals like monitoring risk trends daily. It also allows our users to handle their analytics independently, reducing our reliance on external solutions.
Analyzing high volume of data using Kyvos semantic model
What do you like best about the product?
Kyvos helps us to bring data of key departments together and analyze it directly from Excel and Power BI. Business users are getting their data on time in the morning and enable them to provide valuable insights for the day. The data security feature of Kyvos helps to limit data access across users and departments.
What do you dislike about the product?
We have faced few challenges in on-boarding users on Kyvos semantic models. Thanks to a very supportive team, they were quickly resolved. Kyvos’ services and support teams promptly respond to any request and helps to solve these challenges. They worked with us as true partners.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kyvos has enabled us to analyze 2 years of data with daily 50 million addition of records. Now, we can analyze all brands of data rather than very few brands in previous solution. Kyvos allows all users to connect semantic layer through Excel with their windows AD credentials. It provides the ability to use complex calculations and extensive features of excel.

What do you like best about the product?
Kyvos impresses us with its abilities, effective analytics, and powerful features to analyze present and past data over multiple supported data sources. The UI is simple and effective with features like drag and drop, make it easy to use without much prior knowledge. They are also very responsive to our support queries and new requirements that makes it a great tool for users
What do you dislike about the product?
Initial investment is required in terms of understanding and installation process but once done it’s very fruitful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kyvos helped us analyse our historical data, which made it easier for us to have a deeper understanding of our data and get the results at a much faster speed than our existing tools without much effort.
User-friendly interface with sub-second query performance
What do you like best about the product?
Kyvos has user friendly interface and its ease of use like drag and drop functionality helps in designing the semantic model and visualizing the data effortlessly. It also provides millisecond query performance on big data.
What do you dislike about the product?
Creating calculated measures using MDX becomes complex sometimes as MDX is a new learning curve for users.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
There is no constraint on volume of data that can be ingested in Kyvos which helped in analyzing the historical data and its sub second query performance helped in faster decision making.
Self Serve Analytics for all
What do you like best about the product?
The Kyvos interface is extremely smooth and user-friendly. The dynamic nature of Kyvos products to adapt to the changing technology landscape makes it more interesting to use.
What do you dislike about the product?
If Kyvos would have a feature to ingest/feed csv/excel files directly into Kyvos it would have been a cherry on top.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Kyvos offers powerful capabilities, but the initial setup was quite detailed and time-consuming, making the onboarding process longer than expected. The installation requires considerable technical expertise, and even with support, it wasn’t as straightforward as we had hoped. Furthermore, while Kyvos does reduce maintenance needs once operational, any configuration changes or updates can still be complex to manage. Overall, while Kyvos has its advantages, the installation and initial configuration present a learning curve that could be improved.
Perfect semantic layer solution for us
What do you like best about the product?
Kyvos is the right semantic layer choice for us, because Kyvos gives us all what we need - the advanced hierarchies (parent child, alternate hierarchies, custom roll ups, etc), good integration with Excel, ability to scale horizontally, ability to address all data security requirements, and more importantly ease of use and agility.
Kyvos team is very supportive. The product also evolves fast, they are mindful of customer needs and incorporate our feedback into their roadmap.

What do you dislike about the product?
It is not easy to find any Kyvos community online, it will be good to have a community connect.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We chose Kyvos many years back when our erstwhile tool had become very difficult to manage for various reasons - huge cubes, large build times, unacceptable shutdown/ bring up times. Kyvos has been helping us strategically in all the 3 areas that are important for us - speed, simplicity and agility.

What do you like best about the product?
We met the Kyvos team recently at an event, where they demonstrated the platform and its features. It was impressive to see the speed with which Kyvos could deliver results on huge datasets and it prompted us to initiate discussions. We are still in the POC stage and going through the nuances of the platform. Everything we’ve seen so far looks good enough to meet our needs for a standard version of data.
What do you dislike about the product?
The implementation was smooth and we’re confident it will be the same going forward also. Nothing that we dislike so far.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our data teams were spending too much time analyzing data for our operations to run smoothly. We also have two different BI tools and sometimes, it makes our metrics look inconsistent. Kyvos promises to remove such inconsistencies and provide a unified view of data regardless of the BI tool used. We are looking forward to using its semantic layer to make analytics faster and simpler for all our users.
Power semantic layer for whole organization
What do you like best about the product?
Kyvos has been invaluable for our team’s data needs. The ability to analyze massive datasets at incredible speeds has been made possible by implementing Kyvos semantic layer. Plus, their support team is exceptional, always helpful and proactive. It feels like they are part of our team, not just a vendor.
What do you dislike about the product?
One limitation we’ve noticed is with isolated data cubes, which sometimes hinders a seamless exploration experience across datasets. Enhancing integration between cubes and adding more tuning options to their documentation would make it even better for us.

Before adopting Kyvos, we struggled with storage limitations and visibility issues. Kyvos has entirely resolved those, proving to be a transformative tool for our analysis needs.

Kyvos has changed the way we do our reporting. With its advanced aggregation capabilities making it easy to analyze both historical data and live updates in a single step. The setup of their semantic layer was quick and smooth, largely due to the helpful guidance from their professional services team. Kyvos brings all of our data together, enabling seamless analysis directly on our existing data lake. This has elevated our ability to meet risk assessment targets, providing daily insights across various asset classes. Their support team, available 24/7, is incredibly responsive and open to our feedback, which has been invaluable for our team.

Kyvos has empowered us to fully leverage our historical data after nearly two years of trial and error with other open-source tools that couldn’t quite meet our needs. With Kyvos, we can now analyze large volumes of data in seconds, giving us a clear and timely view of our risk positions across different asset classes each day. This efficiency means we’re making data-driven decisions faster, which is critical for our business. Additionally, Kyvos’ intuitive interface has enabled our users to manage their own analytics without relying on technical support, freeing up resources and enhancing productivity across teams. Overall, Kyvos has transformed our data strategy, enabling self-service analytics that’s fast, scalable, and insightful.
Versatile tool to get started on BI journey
What do you like best about the product?
Kyvos was our choice due to its low-code interface, and my team could quickly start their BI journey. The Admin and Designer users in our organization are happy with the quick setup, which helped us get our models ready quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish Kyvos Viz had more graphical options like Power BI and Tableau.
