GRC with and without IBM OpenPages
What do you like best about the product?
IBM Open Pages is a well designed tool where they tried to add a lot of things to make risk management and our life easy. UI can be improved a little more but overall its a good risk management tool. You dont need to keep everything documented at multiple places and can be called a one stop solution to multiple tools.
What do you dislike about the product?
A lot of options makes it a little difficult for new users to adopt it easily. Need more trainings or simplified application tours as if a user adopts this tool he has to use it for a longer period and cannot replace it easily.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use this a tracking and reporting tool for multiple clients and it helps to generate wuick reports.

OpenPages is an awesome GRC product
What do you like best about the product?
The task focussed UI views along with the workflow and calculation engines allow solutions to be easily configured to meet client needs with mostly configuration. This means that solutions can be delivered in an Agile approach allowing teams to quickly build and deploy new/amended solutions.
What do you dislike about the product?
Personally I would like more capability for both administators and users to create multiple homepage dashboard panels, and for local panels, to be able to share them with their local teams. This would reduce overheads of creating multiple profiles to have different dashboards.
Having said that, the simplicity and flexibility of how users can setup their own dashboards is very impressive.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Bringing innovative solutions out and constantly improving the platform capability. The new RCM integrations for example is really helping clients think through their challenges for regulatory compliance, policy compliance etc and providing some neat out of the box integrations to help ingest the external data.
Great tool for Operational Risk Management
What do you like best about the product?
IBM OpenPages can be utilized as a consolidated risk management tool that brings most aspects of risk management to a central point where the respective stakeholders, such as risk owners, can view the big picture throughout the entity at a glance.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is hard to master, and rigorous training is required for people who do not have computer literacy. Implementation of the solution is also a hassle, especially if the organization migrates from an already established integrated ERM framework.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The solution to the traditional bookkeeping of risk management with separate documents and records scattered among the business units is the main benefit for me.
OpenPages Tfui needs improvement
What do you like best about the product?
Tfui changes are best. Workflows need more customisation for emails in product. Calculations are good.
What do you dislike about the product?
Calculations doesn't allow same field update on 2 calculations which makes sense but doesn't specify which calculationbot is present. Although Tfui is done with react, certain update to field doesn't reflect immediately until you refresh.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
ORm implementation and incident management.
Best Natural Language Interpreter that Helps Decision Making.
What do you like best about the product?
IBM Watson Natural Language Classifier is one of its kind Language Classifier that in a go return you the best matches/approximate classes for sentences/phrase and outcome.
Secondly, the response time is very less, as soon as we submit a question we get keys to the best matching answer/s.For developers it outputs the JSON format data with class name - conditions and confidence level of the question asked in cases, that JSON can be used widely in integration with code etc.

What do you dislike about the product?
One drawback I felt is Training Data i.e the training data to this Classifier can also be auto-suggested instead of giving manually, like some suggestions to the Training data can be given if we enter any Topic. For example, if we sat Toy, so Training data related to Toy can we auto-suggested by the system.
Another thing is confidence in some Topics that can be improved in coming updates is system i.e accuracy can be improved.

Integration, Intelligence, User Friendly and Robust
What do you like best about the product?
User-Friendly interface of the platform. There has been focus on ease of customization in the recent releases which have been helpful for the developers as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
Data integration needs to be improved. Scheduling import of excels/data is required by several clients. Though the workflows and calculations are easy to develop they still have a scope of improvement.
Additionally, cognos reporting can be improved

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using OpenPages for several of our clients. The team has implemented Audit, ORM, TPRM, MRM within OpenPages. The reporting though having limitations has still been the key problem solving solution.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Installation and Upgrades are the hardest part.
