Efficient Malware Analysis with Minor Setup Tweaks
What do you like best about the product?
I primarily use OPSWAT Filescan for high-speed, automated malware analysis and threat indicator extraction, which is a big plus. I appreciate that it eliminates the sandbox bottleneck by using emulation-based analysis. It's great that it automates stuff when dealing with a lot of indicators. I really like how it maps directly to the MITRE ATT&CK framework, providing the team with actionable context and allowing us to identify intent and prioritize our response based on behavior rather than file hashes or names. The docker-based deployment also helped us get the core running quite rapidly.
What do you dislike about the product?
One of the main issues is initial config and file-type support, it sometimes requires manual tuning for more obscure formats.

I use OPSWAT Filescan for high-speed, automated malware analysis and extracting threat indicators. It solves the sandbox bottleneck by using emulation based analysis, making it easier to automate. Mapping to the MITRE ATT&CK framework gives actionable context and helps identify intent.

IT Security Manager, Financial Services Company
What do you like best about the product?
We integrated OPSWAT Filescan into our customer upload portal and email gateway, and the improvement in security was immediate. The multi-engine scanning caught threats that our single antivirus solution completely missed. The API was easy to integrate, and the response time is fast even under heavy load. What we like most is the Content Disarm & Reconstruction feature. It lets our users safely open documents that would otherwise be blocked, without risking infection. The reporting is very detailed and helps our SOC team during investigations
What do you dislike about the product?
The licensing cost is not cheap, but for a critical security layer, it is worth it. Overall, OPSWAT has become a core part of our zero-trust strategy.

Secure Multi-Engine File Scanning with OPSWAT
What do you like best about the product?
I use OPSWAT Filescan to securely scan files before they are downloaded, shared, or accessed within our organization. It provides a reliable way to analyze files against antivirus engines and threat detection tools, helping to catch potential malware or suspicious content. I really like the multi-engine scanning capability as it greatly increases threat detection accuracy. This feature reduces blind spots and false negatives by having multiple engines scan the same file. The confidence OPSWAT Filescan provides in file security is impressive.

The initial setup and configuration tend to require some technical effort before everything runs smoothly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

A good too protecting you from malware
What do you like best about the product?
I used to rely on Microsoft Antivirus from the start. However, I'm quite an old-school guy and never thought malware or similar threats would ever affect me. But in a few incidents, I accidentally downloaded and clicked on malware-infected files. I searched for a solution to identify such threats, and that's when OPSWAT FileScan helped me in this area.
What do you dislike about the product?
I think the tool should offer a comprehensive report about the threats and their exact sources as well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think their comprehensive reporting is the best feature, as it gives me real insight into what the file contains. The tool provides detailed information about the file itself, associated URLs, threat indicators, and much more, all of which are essential for an end user to understand

What do you dislike about the product?
UI is less intuitive than some competing tools, which can slow down adoption for team members who are not already familiar with advanced malware analysis platforms. The added complexity means there’s a learning curve before getting the most out of the system.
I have also noticed that false positives occasionally occur, leading to extra manual review of files that are actually safe.
