Easy and professional websites - FAST!
What do you like best about the product?
Wix is intuitive, friendly, and looks great. I like the ease of putting together a website whether it's from scratch or a template. The templates are great jumping-off points.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how you can't save an unpublished change and publish a change on another page of the website. I wish there were more apps available and that it was easier to integrate certain things, like sign up forms, into a webpage. I'm always able to figure out a workaround, though.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We're able to set up auxiliary websites quickly and easily and have them look professional.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You'll need some website management experience to feel confident setting up your website - but very little!
The easiest, fastest way to get a website up
What do you like best about the product?
How simplified Wix makes an otherwise daunting task of building a website. I love that they have pre built templates to help guide you, but Wix has the best editor out there by far for customizing your page outside of the constraints platforms like Square Space have. Great for quick prototyping websites as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
At times the online editor can be glitchy or clunky. I don't like that even though I pay for a membership, my site still has to have 'powered by Wix' on it unless I pay a premium. You are limited to the plug ins and offerings Wix provides.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick and easy functionality. Designing without having to understand code and it will handle hosting set up for you.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wix is for beginners, in my opinion. I currently would not recommend for running ecommerce websites or anything other than very small businesses on it (would be hard to manage business side). You would be better off with Shopify or Square Space. But if it's a personal web page or your short on time - Wix is a great option.
Wix is a great tool when creating websites
What do you like best about the product?
I absolutely love Wix. I am a graphic designer and love being able to create websites without having to use a developer. In my opinion it is much easier to use than Wordpress and has more capabilities than Squarespace.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wix can be limiting in terms of spacing and positioning. I would love to see improved usability in that area. I also wish there was some sort of flat fee for designers instead of the monthly payments per site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have created my business portfolio using Wix.
Professional websites without the hassel
What do you like best about the product?
I love the templates and the ease of customization. The free to use stock images and photos give you everything you need to create a functional and appealing website from start to finish. I love the interface and the intuitive controls. For those with more html savvy you are free to insert your own code; I have several forms that submit records into my online CRM and have had no issues whatsoever when editing or during user submissions.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is very little to dislike about this feature rich software at such an incredible cost. Although the ability to create your own design elements within the editor would be a good improvement. As it stands you'd have to upload a pre-made image.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Obviously, we have a company website that gives us a professional online presence without the price tag of an outsourced or in house web designer. Although I know basic HTML a designer I am not. Additionally our website is the main way we accept employment applications.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take the time to use the builtin features that allow you to become listed on search engines. Do a little research on the search terms for your business and take care to use them in the text of your site.

You can really create a unique individualized website.

It’s not the easiest to use without prior knowledge or without troubleshooting the tools.

I was able to provide classroom information to parents more easily.

What do you like best about the product?
I like the simplicity with which you can create a website. Whether it's products or a static site, it's possible thanks to this online website builder.

When creating products or some type of slide, I feel that editing can be improved. It is a bit complicated compared to other options.

Create a web based product inventory
Very useful - some issues but most are small things I can deal with

Drag-and-drop, tons of apps and extras (spreadsheets, bookings, blog option, embed HTML, etc) easy to change any little thing, user friendly, has their own step-by-step instructions for almost everything.
What do you dislike about the product?
1. Sometimes it doesn't save my changes, and then I lose my work. I think it should auto-save like most cloud based stuff does.
2. the Email (shoutouts) is a problem. It doesn't save my work and I've lost more newsletters than I can say. It's hard to customize and it isn't as versatile as it could be.
3. there are lots of drop-down menus on the header, and often I'll go to click something and the drop-down will get in the way and I'll click it. It's extremely annoying.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I can do EVERYTHING on Wix rather than having to do some stuff on one site and some stuff on another. Highly convenient to do everything in one place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Save your changes often, make notes, watch tutorials, and don't be afraid to make "practice" websites to give yourself a chance to experiment. There's more there than you think.
Easy to Design Websites
What do you like best about the product?
Love the drag and drop capabilities. Very easy and intuitive design set up.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once you switch out of the easy editing mode you cannot go back and have to design your site on a more traditional code based platform

We are using wix to design and manage the website
Wix is easy to use, clean, powerful, and makes beautiful websites.
What do you like best about the product?
I love how Wix makes building an elegant, professional website easy. No previous website design experience is necessary. I was able to connect my personal domain name and Wix takes care of all the hosting.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the way the site dashboards are laid out. It is difficult to navigate the various features, and finding things like site traffic is non-intuitive.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use Wix to host our website and portfolio. Currently, the amount of traffic our site receives is small, but we know that Wix will be able to support increased traffic in the future.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure to set up traffic tracking early, since it only tracks from when you set it up. And make sure the mobile version of your site is set up how you like it - Wix tries to auto-populate a mobile design based on your desktop site, and it does a poor job.
