I had the task of creating a simple website for one of my close friends, though I had no prior experience of developing a website, I had taken up the challenge to explore website building. I had tried a lot of tools for developing the website but finally zeroed in on Wix because of easily understandable UI and simplicity around the platform. Their support team needs a special mention considering their availability and service attitude.

What do you dislike about the product?
There is absolutely nothing wrong with the platform since Wix pushes upgrades which is good because you get a better platform everytime you work on it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?

Previously we had the issue of building a website and making the hospital visible through organic search and all that is being handled on Wix.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wix has all the features covered in the trail and it extends until you want to publish the website. I would recommend you to try other platforms and see for yourself about what works for you.
Wix is not as friendly as they want you to believe
What do you like best about the product?
I do appreciate the drag and drop feature and they numerous templates
What do you dislike about the product?
Everything else. I suppose it's difficult because I came in after the website was already created and it had not been created using a template, so each page element, font, etc has to be adjusted and tweaked on each page individually.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Every company has to have a website these days and this is where ours is hosted.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Start off well (use a template, etc.) and set your team up for success. Or if you have any previous web experience, don't use Wix and use Wordpress or any other web hosting site.
Easy to use & Powerful
What do you like best about the product?
I had to build a Website for one of my cousins running a hospital and I began my search for a website builder. I had looked through many before landing upon Wix. Wix was simple to use which helped me set up a basic page. It was very easy to edit content or make changes to the overall structure of the website. Since I had no experience in building websites I found it easy and helpful to set up a basic website. Wix support needs a special mention because they are always listening and are willing to help with the platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wix has this weird feature where you can't come back to Wix ADI which contains all the themes once you go to the advanced editor. Maybe there is a need to enable this because Wix ADI doesn't contain all the functions and whereas the editor doesn't contain themes which can easily be used.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Building website is pretty easy with Wix, you need not have any prior experience building websites. You can easily set up a basic website in no time. We have saved a good amount of money on building & maintaining the website.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wix offers a trial period and it is trial until you pay. However, you would only be working on Wix ADI until you pay and you would not be able to explore all the features on Wix. I would suggest you use other platforms as well before going with Wix.
Wix is an easy tool to utilize at all experience levels

I love that Wix offers many design options so that you can find a website design that suits your needs. Its interface is really easy to use, so you can partner with other employees to input content and they don't need to have any web experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
While templates are great, they can sometimes be restrictive. Simple changes can be a lot more complex in that environment.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Its a great way to get fast, quick websites up and running with very little design experience.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Its a great tool to create quick websites for a variety of different needs, however its not the best recommendation to use for clients or larger companies because of certain restrictions.
Ease of Use has it's limitations

I found the website designer to be very much like creating a PowerPoint presentation, which is something that I do every day.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would have liked to have more flexibility and choice in fonts, sizes, arrangements, colors and shapes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needed a services web site to generate awareness and be the base for our social media campaign.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a good starter web site that you as a business owner can use to get up and running quickly. You may want to have your own stock photos ready. Their free selections are limited.
Wix for Client Website
What do you like best about the product?
Wix has a ton of free templates you can use. Loved that!
What do you dislike about the product?
Not much to dislike about the site! The site is so user friendly with the dray and drop feature.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Was able to create an easy and simple site for a client.
The BEST wysiwyg website builder, bar none!
What do you like best about the product?
WIX is truly a dream to work with. If you want to nudge your element over by one pixel you can! If you want to change one word in a paragraph to a different color you can do it right there on the page! WIX makes it easy to break out of your stylesheet without custom coding. You can build as many sites as you want for free, then upgrade to a paid account when you're ready to launch.
What do you dislike about the product?
Once you pick your template, you're stuck with it. It's not possible to change to another template. When you're building a website for someone else and transfer the site to the other person's WIX account, the images all stay linked to your account. The site still looks fine, but the images live on your account, not the client's.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have built many WIX sites for clients and employers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
WIX is definitely the wysiwyg editor that I would recommend for building a website, whether you know what you're doing or you're a complete novice. Pros won't feel so limited and beginners will feel at ease creating a site.
Good Product for Non-Technical Users
What do you like best about the product?
Getting a site up and running is very easy. Pages are straightforward to build. There are many building blocks that provide what you would need for most sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
Adding custom HTML or other code snippets does not work as well as in other CMS. Integration with HubSpot is poor.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having an affordable web presence.

What do you like best about the product?
It is the easiest way to set up a website that you will ever come across. There is no better platform if you are trying to make an eye-catching and user friendly website.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a single thing. I only dislike that everyone doesn't use WIX.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are able to run an online store for the smaller quadrant of our business through WIX and have a personalized website for that specific area of customers, which means a great deal to them and helps us stand out within an over-saturated industry.

Good Platform but 3rd Party Restrictions

Easy to use platform. You can really put your imagination to the work.
What do you dislike about the product?
Restrictions to 3rd party apps. These guys just wants to sell their own apps and so ditching 3rd party integrations.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Website designing. You can put your mind to work and get it in live.

3rd Party Integrations are very important for any growing business. Ensure the ones you are using are supported in Wix.
