With Wix, I Stopped Wondering and Started Working
What do you like best about the product?
The ease with which I can create something beautiful and me. I had so many people tell me that my website was ME and that was the biggest compliment. It's intuitive and if you're stuck, there's a lot of great help to get you back on track. I love the full page banners. I appreciate the formatting options available to further customize it.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike that the layout of the website editor changes so drastically when I upgraded from free to pro. It took me a while to figure out where everything was. I dislike that I can't adjust the columns to make it the way I really want it. I dislike how different my site looks from desktop to mobile.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My name is actually out there! I have a beautiful site and I've already gotten work based off my site. I've realized that because wix makes it so easy, I didn't have to feel like my website was absolutely perfect and I would never want to change anything in order to publish it. I published my website and when I wanted to adjust something, it was no big deal. Easy. Effortless. Simple. I'm looking forward to when I can take full advantage of everything wix has to offer--custom email, an on-site shop, etc. In time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You know all those commercials you see of celebrities making gorgeous websites in the time it takes for the 30 second commercial to be over and they're all like "Done! It's that simple." Well, it's not exactly that simple, but it's close--and far closer than other website builders I've used in the past. Don't get discouraged if it takes longer than 30 seconds. Also, if you want a website that's truly you, truly unique, then delve into the depths of wix. They have hundreds of icons and add-ons and plug-ins you can use without creating a site that already exists. And they're so beautiful. Explore around if you can--you won't regret it!
Good for small businesses

Wix has been around for quite a while and grew rapidly by large word of mouth brand due to the product doing mostly what they say it will do.
What do you dislike about the product?
It is really for just small projects and/or small companies
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Small businesses trying to get a web presence very quickly

Don't try to make it more than it is. But for small DIY web projects, it is almost perfect.

I love the different stock designs they have and how easy it is to create a webpage.

Some functionalities are limiting like slideshow was hard to figure out with different image sizes.

I really have absolutely no complaints using WIX.

Easy to use, intuitive, cost effective web site design and hosting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Try WIX before you give other template based products a try ... you'll find WIX to be the easiest to use and maintain. NO HTML SKILLS NEEDED.
Wix is fine for personal websites, but not recommended for professional websites.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that Wix is a beginner--friendly, WYSIWYG web builder. It's literally drag and drop and they offer templates, so it's a very low-barrier entry for a novice who wants a personal website (i.e. a wedding website, baby shower website, etc.)
What do you dislike about the product?
Wix is not good for any type of business or professional website. While its templates are easy to use, the websites it generates are not responsive, meaning you have no way to control how your layout looks on different screen sizes. The result is that your elements, text, images, etc. tend to end up misaligned on screens that are larger or smaller than the screen it was designed on. Mobile and tablet screens are even worse. While Wix does offer a mobile version to customize your mobile site, its abilities are really limited, and this method of website development is outdated and will have varying results on different mobile screen resolutions.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I initially gave Wix a try when I was experimenting with different web development methods for client work. I quickly realized that it's not a professional tool, and is better for non-web designers and developers to make hobby and personal sites.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend looking elsewhere. Even if you're a hobbyist or someone just looking to build a personal site, I'd look at Squarespace instead. If you're a professional web designer or developer, Wix does not align its product with current industry standards, and it wouldn't be an ethical solution for building professional client websites.

What do you like best about the product?
It´s a easy way to start making your own web or site. It´s simple, intuitive and has a lot of tools that allows you to create the web the way that you like it. Also it´s a cheap option to create something on the web.
What do you dislike about the product?
It´should include more type fonts to use on your web. Also it´s difficult to drag an image to place where you want to put in. Also the interface it´s really slow.

Cheap option to create your own web site by yourself.

Yes, it´s an easy and cheap option to start creating your own web site.

What do you like best about the product?
The Wix ADI which automatically generates a base template for you to work off of, based on a few preliminary questions you answer - the customization is intuitive and the options are seemingly endless. They have a clean interface to navigate and the end result is professional looking websites which you can achieve yourself in a few hours.
What do you dislike about the product?
The booking widget in Wix is hard to customize, and it ends up not being suitable for other types of businesses that offer a booking system but not exactly in the way the widget appears
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a landing page drives so much more of business because it makes the organization look legitimate. It also takes out a lot of personal work by automating replies, putting all the information in one place, organizing the inflow of emails, and also makes it easier for customers to sign up for any offers that you advertise on social media.

Definitely invest in the paid plans if Wix offers a widget that is well-suited for your business

What do you like best about the product?
Wix is VERY easy to use, and it is not as time consuming as other building platforms. Wix is customizable for each individual user. You have the option to build your own site from scratch or to use the artificial intelligence option that will aid you in building you site. We build beautiful websites in half the time we used too on a Wordpress platform. And more often that not, they are better and more visually appealing.

Honestly, nothing!!! They have covered all of the bases here.

Having a user friendly and visually appealing website is SO important for ANY business, and Wix makes it easy to give our clients the upper hand in their industry.

Great Platform with a lot of Customization
What do you like best about the product?
With Wix, I know that I can customize anything and everything to how I want it. It's great for people who have a vision in mind, need no help developing it, and want to have even the smallest details customizable.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is some functionality within their design templates that is a little dated/further behind than other platforms (i.e. Squarespace) and the eCommerce platform can be a little complicated.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm able to easily create a website for my needs and have complete control over every detail.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would suggest looking through their templates first to see if you like them. You can always create a website for free, and then pay to have the ads removed. Or if you feel confident making something from scratch, go for it!
