Easy for everyone!
What do you like best about the product?
One of the best qualities about Wix is the easiness for everyone. I built a couple personal websites to go along with my resume and I had no experience or idea of what to do. Wix offers a step by step guide in design and choosing your layout. Everything is clearly explained and outlined in an easy to use format.
What do you dislike about the product?
With any website designer, the process is very time consuming. Plus, I had a lot of trouble using my own domain name. The process to link is easy but if either Wix or your web host has an issue, it can take a while for your website to come back up online.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
While I use Wix to go along with my resume, I've been able to book many freelance jobs. However, the complete customization factor is a huge A+. Everything that is on my website was easily customizable through Wix's software designer that will do pretty much anything. It's been a nice upgrade from the website I built in college for a class.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely give it a try if you are new to the website branding side of things. It will really help you out in the long run. I was able to turn my ideas into a solid website "brand" with an easy to use, fully customizable website. The amount of different templates that are offered cover everything from a business to a resume to a personal website. I would highly recommend using Wix!!!!!

Easy to use interface, ability to customize both website and mobile site, lots of options for plug-ins, continuously added features

would like to be able to make some updates using a tablet and/or mobile device

Quick and effective way to build a professional website without needing technical expertise

Can not make second tier menu subpages. Can not provide title tags and descriptions to blogs! Must improve for better SEO

Quick and easy website builds. Beautiful and modern looking websites that adjust on mobile and tablet.

we reached our customers through a beautifully designed website that we otherwise would have had to pay a lot of money to someone to create!
So easy to use
What do you like best about the product?
We were able to build a mock site in less than an hour to show the benefits of why we needed to change website hosts. This has been the easiest website to build so far and we've had no problems. The pricing is comparable to other host sites with many different plans available based on what you want your website to do. The mobile build that it automatically creates for you is amazing. There's several layouts to choose from and tweaking the layouts to your preference is a breeze. Customizing has seriously never been easier. I was shown this by a coworker while I was attempting to edit our other site and this has been a major upgrade. I'm fairly computer literate, however, have no formal education when it comes to websites, graphic design, etc and this has been simple and easy to use. Kudos to Wix for making this an enjoyable and easy experience.
What do you dislike about the product?
At this time, nothing. The build has been super easy and taken half the time of other sites.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have built a new website that is eye catching and professional to give ourselves an online presence other than through social media. We can offer our admit paperwork and other information up to doctors and patients alike in one easy to find place.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You don't need any type of special education or training to use this site. Its so easy to setup and customize. Then you can maintain your site in house at a very reasonable price. We love it.
3 E's - Easy, Efficient and Effective
What do you like best about the product?
I really enjoy playing around with graphics and found that Wix was able to allow me to be creative but also allow me to effectively display and promote our products. It's a highly functional site.
What do you dislike about the product?
The site is very functional but it is simplistic. It would be great if there were more advanced features in terms of graphics.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were able to quickly post information for our clients so that they could be up to date with our current programming and schedules.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
There are various payment plans that I would highly consider trying.
Great for small businesses

I like how simple the drag and drop features are. Lots of cool features.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are way too many fee-for-service upgrades. They all start at $2.99/mo-$4.99/mo for each little item. Eventually you're send ing $20/mo just to have a decent interactive website. Feels like I'm being nickel-and-dimed.

It great for an entrepreneurial start up who's too busy to set up WordPress websites

I'm happy they finally made their servers HTTPS but we already moved our website hosting service to WordPress.

Good for basic site but may not work if needing more advanced features

Wix is well optimized to help you build your perfect website. while at first it might look like you have to choose pre-made designs once you start you will see how it easy it is to create your dream design from those templates

window scaling. although wix design offers a few templates that adjust themselves to any screen some older templates might look a bit odd an extremely wide or narrow screens, that said I doubt more then a handful of people use non standard screen or window sizes while browsing the web

we are a multi project design and management company and we manage a few independent companies under the same wix management suit.

wix is easy, comfortable, if your designing this for your small business as an online business card or a small store you plan to manga yourself, go with wix.
wix is focused on beautiful templates and design giving you the wow factor
if your dead serious about your website, maybe then consider word press, its more robust but also a bit more complicated or less streamlined. word press is more focused on its content.
