Great for Art/Crafts
What do you like best about the product?
I love using Wix to build portfolios and stores for my self and for clients. Wix is really easy to use and I can manipulate the site assets to make even the pickiest clients happy.
Wix can import straight from my Google Drive, making sharing images across clients and platforms a breeze.

What do you dislike about the product?
Without being logged in with a specific site selected, the best indicator of a sale is an email from PayPal, not from the Wix site. I am always switching between Wix sites that I have built, so I ahve to wait for a 3rd party notification.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wix is clean, easy to use, and modern. Hosting a store is a tad pricey if you are just starting out (aka, not moving huge volumes). However, I have done may different "styles" of website with Wix and they all look unique.

Very user friendly but lacks flexibility for 3rd party integration
What do you like best about the product?
Wix gives the novice developer the ability to create impressive, professional looking websites without having to know any of the underlying code. The Wix ADI - artificial design intelligence function allows you to get up and running with your own website in under 10 minutes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Perhaps understandably the header area of Wix websites is completely locked down to anything but the most basic tracking code. They do provide the ability to add your Google Analytics tracking code as a stand alone field, but Wix is not for you if you need to add any form of 3rd party script to the header. So, whilst we could add Google Analytics, we couldn't add code from an agent who is running our Google Adwords campaign which meant we lost significant tracking capability on the Adword campaign's performance.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We've eliminated the need to hire a web developer for our corporate websites saving us £'000s. Of course it isn't just the cost of building the site in the first instance that you need to account for, it's the cost of making any subsequent changes. As a growing company wishing to showcase their latest campaigns, Wix represents the ultimate content management system with control over every aspect of the site not just the words and a few pictures.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Determine exactly which 3rd parties you need, or are ever likely to need to integrate with your website and make sure that you can use them on the wix platform. In my experience most 3rd party code containing any form of script will be problematic. You can embed 3rd party html like a widget from Mailchimp for example, so check out the forums for workarounds. Otherwise, Wix does tick most of the boxes.

What do you like best about the product?
The easy to use GUI and simplicity of the builder.
What do you dislike about the product?
Advanced level site managers need more from an SEO standpoint and the pricing scheme isn't favorable compared to hosting your own Wordpress site.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The occasional quick and easy website for short term promotions is usually met by Wix's capabilities. Speed of getting the site up and running is second to none.
Fast and Easy
What do you like best about the product?
This was SO easy to get up and running. This was efficient and super easy to use. I'd never built a website before and this was very user-friendly and intuitive. It was free which is always a nice thing, with ads keep in mind but for paid versions, the ads go away.
What do you dislike about the product?
The ads were a little annoying, but since I was using a free version, I can't complain about that. Some parts needed a little extra research to figure out (like linking an image to a URL), but overall, quite easy to figure out.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a quick website for a 1-time event and this worked out great!

Currently use WIX to update existing websites and to create event websites - host vendor applications and increase awareness.

Highly recommend based on ease of setup, creating web changes and allowing existing staff to make critical timely updates to their sites.
Amazing websites for the java impaired
What do you like best about the product?
Wix is easy to use, navigate and full of functions to make building your website simple and fast. I was able to get our site up and going in under a day while still hitting targets for SEO and keywords.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes it would be easier to not have to use the GUI when building pages and boxes getting stuck to each other.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Fast and inexpensive website building. We receive around 70% more calls with the website up leading to higher appointment closes.

What do you like best about the product?
It is easy to give contributors blog access and to control their posting permissions. Design is relatively flexible, and it is also easy to rewind back to previous versions of the site if mistakes are made. I also like that it allows for Google Analytics and Adwords integration. The supplied stock images are helpful as well.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's hard to import from other platforms and to integrate with Medium. Integration with Constant Contacts would also be helpful in getting visitors to sign up for email lists. Also, sizing images can be difficult when you are using a self-designed template.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Managing years worth of archived content. Also, creating a more expansive email list.

Create a site from scratch instead of using a template to better suit business needs.

will you have multiple administrators or users? if so, Wix is so user friendly that training will be minimal and almost anyone will be able to use it with ease

fast deployment of a basic website

use the templates for a quick deployment before learning all the functionalities available. use the app store for additional functionality. Do not use Wix if you would like your website to integrate with a CRM or marketing automation solution. Forms are insufficient for collecting leads. excellent support and responsiveness. easy to manage, change and deploy. Header functionality not amazing. No need to purchase paid templates. The free ones are more than sufficient for a basic website.
Website Building Made Easy
What do you like best about the product?
Vast amounts of free customization tools. I can use WIX to create different website templates for clients which all feel unique. Very easy to navigate and each tool has a help section which provides guidance for best use. Love that you can view a preview of the published version compared to the edited mode. WIX also allows you to look at your save history so any modifications made can be easily tracked.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime simple actions like moving a text box, becomes cumbersome due to delays between mouse click & the site to register the action.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
WIX is cross compatible with mobile devices and desktops. As a result, your design looks great across mediums and I don't have to worry about losing potential clients because my site doesn't look polished on one platform or the other.

Make use of the free apps that WIX interfaces with to create a professional website.
