Ease of use for Wix
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to understand. If you have never worked with websites before.

The capabilities available on the free Wix can sometimes be limiting for design purposes.

What do you like best about the product?
Wix is awesome for anyone. Not just non-coders. This site allows you to create any type of website you can think of. Need a shop to sell things? You can do that. Need a portfolio to develop your art? You can do that. Want to start a company but can't pay for web development in this age of online infrastructure and digital marketing? Wix can do that.
Because it is so versatile it sets itself apart from the competition. It still has much depth and complexity to it if you are looking for a website creation system that is not basic and you are looking to continually evolve your site, Wix is the one to choose. They do have html embedding and have recently added a beta for Wix Code, which is looking to add web coding functionality to Wix.
At a low price point they can also give you a domain, a site specific email, and even hosting with any plan. You can even bring in your own domain if you already have one. Some plans include adding Search Engine Optimization to get you noticed easier on web searches. Plans start at just $5 a month and range to $25 a month, with upgrades that give you more bandwidth (make your site run smooth and fast) and more storage for all your site content. They also run sales from time to time with lower monthly plan fees.
I have not had an issue to call support with but I have heard their support line is fine to deal with.

Obviously there are still limitations to Wix if you compare to learning and knowing web-coding. Wix is great for clients who wish to take the work out of website creation but still have a good amount of originality and control. You will have to determine what is best for you and your project before you choose a route to take.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Ridiculously easy website creation at a fraction of the cost. If you're looking to make a site crazy fast (I'm talking up and running within a day) Wix is a no-brainer.

You can still compare to other website creation systems - each have their own positives and negatives but after doing some research I believed Wix to be the most versatile and best choice for anyone.

What do you like best about the product?
It is the best web site builder among other platform because of large amount of features. It has the most innovative and good designed templates. Their designs are also up to date.

If we have to access many features we have to purchaser it. It is not preferable for making large and complicated web sites.

What do you like best about the product?
I think many people; when they think of Wix, they think of the most basic/available to all platform for creating websites. It is also most cost efficient for people who just need to put their portfolio out there and that's what I love most about it. Wix is used worldwide and is also a platform that almost everyone is familiar with from school to personal business use. The second thing I love most is again, how cheap/free it is!
What do you dislike about the product?
I think that what's important for all businesses is that no matter what business model you have, consumers no longer want what's available to the MASS. They want something unique, catered to them specifically. And I think Wix is a platform that is catered to the masses. The templates currently available to Wix is still very generic which is why many companies from local small businesses to large corporations choose another platform like Squarespace because the templates available are not very unique and don't portray the modern world design. That would be my only complaint.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to create a portfolio site for myself without spending a single dime. Its helped with my professional career growth. Wix has also made design and implementing overall design I want my site to be very simple. I was able to finish my site within 24 hours.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are just starting out or first time creating any sort of website, I would highly recommend using Wix! They made it so easy for beginners to use. I think any small business has great potential to grow their e-business through Wix as well!

Wix is an easy platform for people who do not know how to build a website with coding.
Easy, yet too many customizations create issues.

The widgets Wix offers makes your website look like it was professionally designed by a high end agency. The templates are laid out to make the most of these widgets.

When you do too many customizations, the website starts to glitch. When using the system, I always find it best not to play with stuff too much.

The most obvious, I have a main hub for my business, as everyone needs a website.
Another great thing about the low cost is I can do testing to check how well my website will or will not perform. If I am just exploring an idea as an entrepreneur, I will probably hop onto Wix, and play with ideas, then use the free domain to run some ads.

I would recommend spending that small amount of money, and paying for a template that was created by a professional, that won't match the free templates everyone else has.

Drag-and-drop functionality. Requires zero training. More flexible design than SquareSpace.

Still not full-control of the design elements.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how easy it is to use. There's no need to know any jargon for web design or any kind of coding. Anyone who wants a site can have a site without having to go to a college or courses. I also like how I can create more than one website on Wix and the editing for each site isn't complicated at all. I like how Wix thought of normal people who want a website instead of expecting everyone to know HTML and CSS.
What do you dislike about the product?
The options given for the category of a website can be a bit more of a wide range. The site can be updated a bit in terms of User Interface and User Experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am creating a website for my new dance school for Classical Dance.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be shy to start using this website, it's really easy to use and really worth it in the end. Try out the priced version as well, it really does make a difference.
The Wantrepreneur's Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I really don't like any part of Wix. If you want an e-commerce platform then Shopify would do it. If you have a business then spend five minutes learning WordPress or JOOMLA.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wix has very poor analytics and tracking options, you can't accurately capture Conversion Tags via Google, support has been less than helpful and even if you just want a blog I'd avoid this platform.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Often people pay me to move their websites to a different platform, usually because they can't do what they need with Wix.
