Easy Website creation and management
What do you like best about the product?
I like that there are a ton of options for website creation and you are able to do it all through WIX without having to outsource buying your domain, email, etc.
What do you dislike about the product?
It felt... cheap sometimes. It didn't have the most beautiful feel always and felt like I constantly had to upgrade to get something more inclusive. There was this constant *upgrade* to do something you need to do, so I did! I upgraded and paid about 150 for about a year or so... and I just don't feel like it was worth it and I also didn't get the SEO I needed to be super successful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Communication and being able to have a hosting space that looks good and is easy to manage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
For cheap, easy use... use it for a free website or a website that needs ONLY a homepage... not for photo use and more invasive.
I love Wix!
What do you like best about the product?
I love the AI component of Wix. It gives great options geared for me to help me build my website.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like that Wix has so many options. I get a bit overwhelmed with all the options

Great website builder
What do you like best about the product?
Its very nice website builder. Very easy to use and create website. Even a beginner can create website using wix. Great user interface and nice templates available for website building
What do you dislike about the product?
It has limited templates and some animations does not work after publishing website. A lot of wix websites are built on flash technology which is not used in new websites.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using wix for creating websites as per requirement of clients. It is easy and fast.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend wix for those who are willing to create website of their own and commercial use also
Beautiful, relatively easy (and free!) website designer
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate that Wix can help me create a professional looking quality website for free. You can, of course, pay for your own domain but I don't mind the Wix logo on my website-- especially when it looks gorgeous!
What do you dislike about the product?
I think it can be sort of complicated to use. There are so many customizing features, but yet some of the most simplest things (adding and changing font, moving text boxes, resizing or moving images or media) can be the most complicated. I've noticed that sometimes it glitches (not letting me customize something on the page or move something correctly) until I refresh the page and reopen it.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have been able to create my own professional website to store information about me, my teaching and background, resources for my classroom, and my blog.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would definitely recommend Wix to anyone looking to make a professional website easily and on-the-cheap!
Good platform for quick websites
What do you like best about the product?
The ease of use for someone who doesnt know how to code but needs to build a website and go live with it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The limitations on creating websites. But of course you will need to know web development to get something truly custom.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I have helped many restaurant clients who use Wix for their primary website to add links and connect them to their online ordering platforms and social media.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wix is great if you need a website for your business or personal use and don't know how to create it or have the funds to pay a Web Developer to do it. If you attempt to use it, I believe you will quickly learn how to set up a website that will meet your needs at the moment.
Efficient and Simple Platform
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate the fast array of website designs to choose from on Wix. Although some of the options are rather constrained in use, it is a quick solution to get a simple website up and running
What do you dislike about the product?
I do not like the strange place holder address created while designing the site. I also find the interaction between google cal a little funky, and wish there was an easier way to have music played on the opening page.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using our Wix site to post information about scheduled events, provide online forms for customers and increase our readership.
Everything a non-coder could want in a website builder
What do you like best about the product?
Most point-and-click website builders are limited in functionality, but that is not the case for wix! The capabilities are practically limitless. As a marketing professional with very little coding experience, building functional landing pages that also look professional used to be impossible if you couldn't afford to shell out a lot of dough. Wix completely revolutionized the industry and put the power back into the marketers hands for a very reasonable price.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are minor glitches such as videos not displaying correctly. These are easily remedied most of the time, but if you aren't able to figure it out the support team is very good about helping in a timely manner.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Creating customized landing pages, lead capture and generation.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You cannot beat the quality of the product for the price.
Easy to use but not right for every project

I think Wix is super user friendly. You can make really attractive websites very quickly.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't think it's the best option for SEO if you're in a competitive industry or market. It also doesn't give you the flexibility of WordPress or something where you're building from the ground up.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've used Wix to create websites for companies with very small budgets who don't need a lot of unique functions (like client logins or e-commerce.)

If you need to build a really robust website it's probably not your best bet, but I think it's the best product available when it comes to building simple, attractive websites.
Great tool for a self-start website
What do you like best about the product?
The drag and drop interface makes it very easy to shape and build your website. Also, when you are building your website, it is nice that they offer a free plan so you can use that as a "under construction domain". Then when you are ready to launch, they make it easy to switch to a paid plan where you can have your own URL. Another advantage is the speed and security of your website is controlled by Wix - and they often do a pretty good job at it.
What do you dislike about the product?
If you don't mind having a pre-structured URL for your site, then yeah great, Wix has a free plan for your to use. But for most people building their website, you probably don't want .wix.com/ after it - so if you do, prepare to pay overpriced monthly/yearly fees for it. The first paid plan isn't bad at all - but you still get Wix ads/tabs on your website which looks annoying and unprofessional.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quickly built event websites and/or temporary landing pages for people to go to. Usually we build these Wix sites for temporary usage, not long term.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wix is great for fast-turnaround website projects. Wix offers a large array of templates for you to use so starting up a new site is very quick and easy. If you do not have a lot of experience building websites, Wix could be a good option for you.
Dynamic web builder for dummies (and geniuses)
What do you like best about the product?
intuitive interface with many sophisticated templates and features. Wix works hard at staying current with design trends and the overall look and feel of their websites.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some positioning guides and tools for placement of objects could be more refined, but not too bad. SEO tools not very helpful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We have frequently changing content and a lot of information to present and Wix solves the problem of how we present the information in a logical and appealing manner.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wix is complete enough to deliver complex, sophisticated websites with most of the latest innovations and applications. If you want to control the build of your site internally, this is a great piece of software.
