Fast, easy templates for robust websites
What do you like best about the product?
Plenty of templates to select from with a lot of technology powering those features. Even the sites that are template-based there is still a lot of customizing you can do even with basic HTML knowledge and such. Support is only a chat or email away, as well - which is super-convenient given most companies offering "free" websites only provide simple, limited support.
What do you dislike about the product?
As with all template-based systems the WYSIWYG interface can be a challenge at times. The more advance stuff still requires a more hands-on approach to HTML and such.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Needed a quick, simple website that allows customizing for a real estate venture and needed something fast and affordable.

What do you like best about the product?
what i loved about wix was that anyone could use it. It was simple and developed a great site.
What do you dislike about the product?
When i used it it was not very user friendly in terms of different things/pieces I wanted to be able to upload.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am not solving any problems with Wix. I was using it as a portfolio.

What do you like best about the product?
Easy to use layouts, very easy to make edits and craft things the way you want. Very good search engine optimization tools
What do you dislike about the product?
At times the editor is a bit clunky and takes time to figure out exactly what is what when editing color schemes.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wix makes it easy to build quality websites in short times. I can help friends who own businesses get online fast and with a high quality site that is in strong position for organic search queries.

I like the drag and drop template format.

If you're looking for more custom features or diverse templates, Wix is limited in that capability.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a good alternative for clients with a limited website budget.
Easy and Straightforward
What do you like best about the product?
Very easy to make an aesthetically appealing website, even for non-designers. It is also partnered with many third party apps to make it very easy to have your site interactive with other platforms such as an online store or social media sites.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are have been times when the apps is almost too straight-forward, meaning - I've tried to do work-arounds to get my site to look a way different than intended but the app won't let me. It wants the app to be fool proof so if you are trying to do more complex things, they may not always work.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing a site that is clean, aesthetically pleasing, and modern. All of these tasks are very easy to do when using Wix because of the templates and tools that are provided with the app. It's almost impossible to screw up.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I would recommend Wix to users at every level, whether they are veteran designers or someone just dipping their toes in. It may prove to be too simplistic for a veteran but it still gets the job done and is almost fool proof.

What do you like best about the product?
I like how you can customize basically every single thing on the site.
What do you dislike about the product?
I don't like how You have to pay for some images, and that they need more variety of photos/videos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating a new website, to have a more modern look. We really love how easy we can make a sleek site.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make sure you implement pictures of your own and stay original!
User friendly web platform

Premade templates if are in a hurry to get something up and running

Tough to make edits/move things around in templates -- not as user friendly as one would hope at times

Providing a web presence/digital face for the business that was not previously there

This is a great program if you are a beginner or in a pinch -- I have not used as many of the custom elements that are available
Super simple to use -- great looking templates

It's basically impossible to eff up a site on Wix.

Limited customization, I wish there was a little more capability. Also, I hear bad things about SEO, but haven't fully finished implementation yet.

Use it if you're looking for a simple, fail-safe way to create a really good looking website. It's really inexpensive for what you get.
Wix is more powerful than most people realize
What do you like best about the product?
Plenty of templates to start with. Clean, professional designs. An amazing amount of plugins to add on. More SEO friendly options than most other similar web builders. 2nd only to WordPress.
What do you dislike about the product?
Having to share some files in my account with multiple clients like photos.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Solving clients problems of outdated websites by providing modern, mobile friendly versions.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are building a website and aren't proficient in WordPress, Wix is your best alternative (in my opinion). Easy to use for anyone with little to no web design experience but has a little creativity. There are other similar options and I have built websites on a number of them and I find Wix superior to them all.
