Wedding Website? Done.
What do you like best about the product?
We use Wix for all our couples and their wedding websites. This is because Wix has the most customization and features out there compared to more traditionally branded "Wedding Websites". So, okay, it is not made to be a wedding website, but it works nonetheless. If you are in need of a portfolio of your work online as well, this is a great place to start!
What do you dislike about the product?
It can be a real hassle if the bride and groom have already purchased a domain somewhere else and wants to transfer it to the wix site we have created for them. Sometimes it links immediately, and sometimes we have to retry 3 times a day for a week before it works. Not sure if this could be an issue with the domain servers, but I have a feeling it is with Wix, because many get their domain from the same place and have no issues.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A wedding website is not something you want to hire a team of web developers for, to put it like that, but it is also a website that you kind of want to look perfect. Wix makes it easy to set up a website in a few hours.

Makes life so much easier
What do you like best about the product?
I love that it is so beautifully made and that the entire builder is made to produce beautiful and engaging websites. I learned how to use wix at a company class and it was so much fun that I now create websites for family and friends as well as a side hustle. A great way to make some extra money for college! Everyone needs a good website and wix makes everyone a website designer.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike all the advertisement that is spread on your page until you upgrade and I really hate that you cannot show the website without it in preview. It always means I can't see the page or website properly until my client (or me) have upgraded their hosting/domain.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wix has helped me launch a whole new kind of career on the side. I no longer rely on money from typical student jobs (food service, retail), but instead I make websites for people I know and that makes me much happier, teaches me about business principles and makes me more prepared for the "real" world.

What do you like best about the product?
I love that it has so many different options and things you can add to your website without knowing anything about computers (other than the basics). You can add slideshows, buttons, pop-ups, videos, cool galleries, and more. It truly makes each website unique.
What do you dislike about the product?
Not a huge fan of their slow working speed. I often sit and wait for their program to load, for it to save, or for something to move to the right spot after I have dragged it. Being that it is a drag and drop "cloud" based or fully online system, I can really understand why it takes so long while working on it, but I do still wish it had a better working speed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to create a website. Wix has been genius for this purpose. I am no computer genius, but I know what I like and I feel I have a good general feeling for what a website should look like. I am also very particular and feel that no website designer could make anything as nice as I can. However, when you lack the technical expertise you need something like wix to get it up and running.

What do you like best about the product?
I always recommend wicks to anyone who doesn’t have professional experience designing websites, or who has zero experience with the coding. There are some great templates that are free with weeks, or you can start blank, but I think that might be too difficult for a beginner. Which does have a certain set ups which you have to use and I think this just makes it easier for anyone is not experienced in UX design.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like I mentioned above wix does have certain set ups that you have to use or limitations and how much you can customize, and although most people find this customization more than enough, for me it has to be to limiting and I prefer to be free to create and code whatever I want.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
At our company we work with a lot of smaller businesses and we work with a lot of one day only events or marketing and pop-ups, and often they need a website designed in a relatively short time or they come to us where there’s honestly almost no time left. That’s where wix comes in - we use this to create a website in and very short time, and the customers always happy about it.
Best drag and drop website builder ever
What do you like best about the product?
Wix is so straightforward and creates stunning websites without you having to know anything about website design or coding. If you know how to dragon drop elements on the computer - you know how to use Wix and that’s the beauty of it.
What do you dislike about the product?
The biggest downside of weeks is the way the builder it’s self become slow and buggy as you go along. Although this is mostly an issue if you have little to no patience as I do, but nonetheless it is very frustrating.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
With the weeks I can create a million websites whenever I change my mind about a project or about a design, we’re generally starting a new project every month and It has become our go to, and the absolute fastest and easiest way to create a beautiful website that looks professionally designed every single time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you’re considering weeks I would say just go for it, there are lots of things that are free about the website builder and at least you can get a sense of the program and whether it’s something you’re comfortable using before signing on for the paid version.
Drag and drop - but too complicated for e-commerce
What do you like best about the product?
I like that there is a lot of pictures to choose from, a simple AI tool to create beautiful websites, and a lot of options to choose from. Compared to Shopify wix has a lot more customization in it naturally, without needing to know how to code.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’m surprised so many people think wix is so easy to use- that’s not my experience at all. Yes it is easy to use in the sense that it allows for drag and drop, but if you use it for e-commerce like we do, then it is terribly complicated and miserable compared to Shopify
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
How to make a website. It is a very easy way to make a beautiful website, but like I mentioned it is not the best way for e-commerce. We don’t have a in-house website developer for certain projects and wicks is a simple way to avoid expensive development costs.

Here are my top attributes for Wix:
1. Auto-Save and restore function is top-notch. Allows you to restore a previous version if you make a mistake, your computer crashes or you lose internet connection.
2. Comes with email and messaging function for customer contact. We use the upgraded/pay version as I am sure most businesses and organizations do, and it allows us to message our customers back from right there in the dashboard/interface of wix.
3. The large library of images, shapes/elements and videos is superb. It will make your website run a little slower so check the size of the images.

My least favorite aspects of wix:
1) Very little introduction on how to set up a website and what to think of. Not an issue for me as I have been using wix since I was about 14. But, in the eyes of a beginner - this could be useful.
2) For a large and trusted brand like wix I find it inexcusable to have SEO integrations that are not effective at its stated goal.

1. It's inexpensive compared to other website builders out there and you can do it all from one dashboard; set up a domain, host your website etc.
2) Content Marketing - wix makes it very easy to create content for marketing purposes and brand building.
3) Contact with customers - it allows for simple management of all messages that come in through the website which simplifies customer service.

Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have never built a website before, I can warmly recommend wix as your starting point. But don’t pay for the upgrade before you know this is a program your skill level can work with. Also, shop around for domains and hosting before choosing to do it all through wix. It could save you some money
Create stunning websites without a website developer or coding experience
What do you like best about the product?
I am not a webdesigner nor do I have any experience creating websites, but with wix that doesn't even matter. Anyone can do it. Indeed, it can get complicated if you are looking to do something very advanced, but a quick Google search will send you to an article written on Wix's forums or help pages about your topic (most likely, and if not you can always ask yourself). When other savvy website builders from around the world still don't have the answer, then it's time to contact customer service. In my experience, their customer service has been nothing short of splendid.
What do you dislike about the product?
I can't think of a single thing I really dislike of the top of my head. I do find it somewhat annoying that if I want to change out a photo (let's say for a banner or a slideshow) and I search for "wedding" in the Wix database (free photos and videos - also for commercial use) and choose a photo (to see how it looks), then change my mind and want to try one of the others I saw, I have to click back into "design" > "photos" > "from wix" > search for "wedding" (again) and scroll down to the photo I wanted to try. This can be a bit annoying at times, especially since I tend to be very fickle about choosing design elements such as photos. It is certainly not a dealbreaker and it does not take away from my admiration of Wix at all.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I am saving my company (or at least the project group I am on and the brand we represent) a lot of money by being able to build and edit the design of our website ourselves. With a paid subscription you cannot tell that it is a "free website builder" and that some guy with no experience in UX and web design created it. That is a huge win.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I don't have any recommendation other than: GO GET IT. Now. You won't regret it.

What do you like best about the product?
I adore the design of Wix. In my job, I am responsible for making the social media site for one of our brands looking perfect at all times, and often people ask where to buy something or how they can learn more. I love nothing more than to send them to our website because it is so beautifully designed. It also allows us to really showcase our social media on the website and lets us analyze where our visitors went after visiting our website. Wix is clean, simple and beautiful.
What do you dislike about the product?
We are a small business so everyone has to chip in, and since my digital marketing job intertwines with the website I often have to go in and make changes or edit what is there, and in that capacity I have noticed that it can be difficult to find exactly where to click to change something. The buttons are all there (and maybe its just me?), but it seems to be difficult to find what the thing I want to change falls under in settings/design. Also, the editor can feel a little "cluttered" like there are too many options at once. I have a 12" Macbook so this might be why though. That it is more crammed on my screen.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
One of the first things we do as a team when we are building a brand, is create a website prototype so to speak. It's not the traditional way to do it - but it helps us visualize and understand what the brand will mean to different people. This means we need a program where we can get a website up and running right away - we don't have time for weeks or even months of website development. With wix you can have a website done in a day!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Buying your domain off-site is often cheaper and easier, but when it comes to connecting it to your wix site it can be a little difficult. Consider doing your hosting and everything through wix as well.
Great tool for beginners
What do you like best about the product?
The people in my company are all very delighted about Wix and I can certainly understand why - it is easy to use, looks pretty, and is very customizable. My personal favorite is the drag and drop way it is made. So easy to use for anyone at any level.
What do you dislike about the product?
However, unlike most of my colleagues I don't see only nice things when thinking about Wix. I am very easily frustrated and the way their menu and settings are set up can be overly frustrating from time to time. It drives me a little nuts to be honest.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We use to have major issues with our new employees and interns because teaching anyone who is not in the IT department how our websites work was tedious and took forever. Now, we just send them to wix and since most of them are millennials or gen z, they understand it right away. Ah to be 22 again....
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have no specific recommendation other than to try it. Play around with it and see if it will frustrate you or make it easier on you.
