No coding required, but can be used for a powerful website
What do you like best about the product?
If you have minimal coding skills, or can follow forums, you can take the drag and drop simplicity to the next level with corvid and their databases feature. Since wix adopted https and better SEO tools, there are little reasons to choose another CMS for those who are not skilled coders.
What do you dislike about the product?
There is one lasting issue with wix and it is the mobile site. It really should be mobile-responsive, and the search engines do expect this and probably punish a bit for this. They do make up for it a bit with Accelerated Mobile Pages (AMP) but mobile-responsiveness is desired.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
A website is really a display tool for your content. Wix makes is super easy to organize and deploy our content, something that was not easy before.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Set up your entire website before calling them (make sure to de-index the pages first before publishing to show others) Look at it on multiple devices and call them for support. You want it to be perfect before paying.
Better than Squarespace if you're not portfolio based
What do you like best about the product?
I can check all my websites and update blogs from one app.
What do you dislike about the product?
I would have liked to have used their booking system in order to keep all my business notifications in one place but Shedul is better and also free.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Having a website validates my business for potential customers more than a social media page. It also allows me to have visibility that's vital because I don't have a shop front on the high street.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
As far as I know, it has all that a small business needs. There are 3rd party apps available too that offer alternative options to the Wix functions.

What do you like best about the product?
Work around options make customization possible to the point where you don't know it's Wix. For instance, I can spot a Squarespace site template very quickly even after customization. This is desirable in this age when websites are a dime a dozen.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are some limits. Currently I have a client who is about to go over to wordpress for more customization / html.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
the backend is really useful for businesses that sell large program based projects.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wix meets in the middle for customization. It probably requires a designer to make it look nice but does not require someone who does html. if you want a more customized look and are willing to pay a coding engineer, then go with wordpress. If you are doing it yourself (no designer) go with squarespace.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like most when starting a small project with Wix is that the time to setup a website, everything is easy and brief. It has everything very intuitively for people who are learning to build websites or for people like me, who want to create mobile websites without much hustle and bustle. The first thing I should mention is its wide variety of templates pre-designed by Wix, and its easy way to prepare these templates. Its simplicity has earned my consideration to use over other free website builders, with features such as dragging and dropping objects, its intuitive menu in the configuration of the template, and last but not least, the automatic backup of your job.
What do you dislike about the product?
Templates can not be edited for a new one while the website is running live, this has limitations for the SEO and digital marketing section. Obviously, for advanced developers, many marketing tools for advanced settings with Wix are in debt. Now, Wix has the option to update your plan and be able to use the advanced tools that are more common in the market with others web builders platform, but the price list is no longer attractive to its competitors.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Currently Wix is used in my toolkit to build websites as a facilitator in the mobile section, being able to create small websites in a matter of short time and test how they look immediately. It is very good to give a preview of your work in real time, and on the web. Every time I learn much more about the editing of mobile websites.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It is highly recommended for the creation of websites for small independent businesses, who want a simple detailed page that describes and markets their products. It is a great support for lonely entrepreneurs who want to fend for themselves, due to the ease in which they can build their website to scale their market projection. With Wix it is possible to achieve your goals of positioning your work for free, fun and safe.

Wix lets me create websites for our Business with a really professional feel. The amount of additional features you can add is amazing and best of all I don't need to know HTML to use it

Some of the additional content is chargeable even with a premium account

What I like most about Wix is that it is an economic platform with different plans accessible to different types of customers, and it has a wide and versatile portfolio of web templates very well designed with the professional touch that is needed, also its integration with the Different social networks allow me to expand the different services and software that I am offering, it is really great that it offers many customization options, such as adding Blogs, uploading videos, links, integrations with third-party products, in short Wix is a great platform.
What do you dislike about the product?
Although Wix is very good, it is far behind more advanced platforms such as worpress, this tool is more focused on small businesses that are starting the online business, since it lacks advanced tools such as visit statistics, number of likes, Interactions, Profile visits that each publication has, click made, among other features that are needed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I use Wix on my personal page to promote my services in the sale of security software, as well as I use Wix as a third-party application in the company where I work since it serves as support giving additional information about the different security systems we develop, taking into account that previously I had to design a website from scratch with complex programming codes which took me a long time to place my websites online, but with Wix it is different, in a very short time I had my website online and in addition to Various websites of other customers.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I recommend Wix for entrepreneurs who are starting in online marketing business, since it does not take much experience and knowledge since with this tool you can develop websites with a professional quality, I would not recommend it for large companies or if you want to implement a site more complex website with analysis and information of visits, linked to adsense.

The advertising that includes if we don't get a Combo payment plan. The free version and the ConnectDomain version include Wix ads and After choosing a template I cannot change it without losing the content I have added.

Everything is pretty much preset but you can also edit aspects of it to make it your own!
What do you dislike about the product?
Somewhat restricting since its preset and I don’t know how to code so I can’t make edits I’d want to.

It is a great tool to build your website with ease. You can customize as you like and it gives you the guidance as you build.

Though we have given the customization, sometimes I felt those customization are not enough to get want I want. Other than that, there is nothing to complain.

I have used Squarespace to build websites. I have switched to WIX because of it is user-friendly. I have helped my colleagues to develop their own sites and published them as well.
