Easy to use and easy to edit
What do you like best about the product?
WIx is an intuitive, straightforward, and imaginative web platform. It cuts the code entirely and completely cuts out the greatest barrier to entry to web dev and design.
What do you dislike about the product?
Wix can be hard to make do what you image. You do end up morphing your ideas and wishes to what is possible on the Wix platform but that's to be expected. It would be the same thing using code or not.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wix is where I keep my portfolio and hosted my thesis website. It was a godsend and made the web aspects of such big projects a breeze that i'm thankful for.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Wix needs to be much much user friendly when it comes to grid systems in the layout. Setting up grid systems feels like it would add a lot of design flair to most sites, this might be a good thing to discuss and introduce to those non-designers using Wix.
Setting Up My Own Wix Web Site
What do you like best about the product?
Ease of use. For the uninitiated, seniors with less experience, young people and anyone with less than necessary experience in setting up a personal, professional looking web site, will be thoroughly comfortable in the Wix environment. Having experimented with Wix in a variety of browsers, while they all work, Firefox seems provide the most functionality.
What do you dislike about the product?
It's difficult to find things to dislike but I suppose, like Shopify, Wix could allow connection to a larger collection of secondary service providers.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've solved business problems for others in that Wix, especially for those that are just starting out with an idea or a very small business, is free to maintain. That a Wix site can be maintained for free, even in light of the inexpensive alternatives of Shopify and GoDaddy, can often mean the difference between success and failure. Wix also provides the added benefit of "Ease of Use" because Wix could be used to set up a rather professional web site even by elementary school children, and with ease.

What do you like best about the product?
Wix has a great set of features that makes it really easy to set up a website for yourself or others.
What do you dislike about the product?
Some of the ecommerce functionality could use some upgrading.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I've utilized Wix to create several websites for small businesses that need a professional looking website, but don't have a large budget. The templates are great and easy to modify.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Take some time to inventory your needs and then do some digging and some experimentation with Wix to ensure that the tools they have are what you need.
Easily build websites without much coding.
What do you like best about the product?
I like that you don't really need knowledge of HTML or CSS for to use Wix and also the fact that it allows for having so many templates to choose from for your website.
What do you dislike about the product?
The fact that you have to pay to remove the big banner at the bottom of the page which says made with Wix.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It allows for creating websites without much effort and you can also choose from templates which makes it easier as the pages are setup for you.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Definitely would recommend Wix to others as it is very easy and simple to use for users who do not have much knowledge in html or CSS.

What do you like best about the product?
This site builder is so easy to use and has hundreds of options and offers the ability to really make your website unique and personalized.
What do you dislike about the product?
I wish there was a way to make my recording section of my site more personalized. Right now I’m just using SoundCloud.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Profit no longer embarrassed by the tackiness that my website used to be. My site is awesome!
Easily create website that are appealing
What do you like best about the product?
The thing I like the best is that I don;'t need to know how to program. The templates make it easy to navigate and create the websites
What do you dislike about the product?
There isn't much that I dislike. They have made it easy for everyone!
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I needed a different website for my new development (away from my regular website) and this gave me a new website specific to my project. The website looks great and is very functional.

Once you know what you want as a website, it will make the design easier for YOU

I built a sucessful web hosting business, started in 1997, in 2008 I left the industry, forgot all my skills learned back then, when it came to building a quick professional website, i turned to WiX. I was able to create a site with my smartphone in less then an hour!
What do you dislike about the product?
No free plans available, I am just starting my new business, so i have no funds for website hosting.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Making easy changes to my website and updating it without having to remember difficalt code you need to know for some complex web programs sites run today.

Wix is a great site to build your website on the fly. It will make your company look professional, and you can update it daily without knowing complex coding.
Good website for creating something simple
What do you like best about the product?
It is a good website for creating a simple design with drag and drop. Suited for beginners or for just a simple website which does not require dinamic content.
What do you dislike about the product?
The lack of a code editor or some other basicfunctions, to be attractive for medium or experienced developers

Wix easy and simple
What do you like best about the product?
Wix is a great option for people looking for an easy way to design and launch a website! From login to launch, it's a great step-by-step process and very easy to manage. I am able to create and maintain content easily on my own, and I am confident in sharing access with other members of my team.
What do you dislike about the product?
Like all free products, you have to pay for your own domain, otherwise it includes the Wix name. While this is not a major deal-breaker, it is good to keep in mind when choosing Wix over other options.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
WIX is compatible with mobile devices and desktop computers. As a result, its design looks great on all media, and I don't have to worry about losing potential customers because my site doesn't look polished on one platform or another.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I totally recommend Wix for anyone in charge of managing a website who doesn't have specific training in web development. I can translate my knowledge of Adobe to functional use with Wix quite quickly.
Easy - even for those not familiar with HTML
What do you like best about the product?
I really like that everything is easy to navigate and there are so many pre loaded templates you can fix to be your own unique style without having to know much about HTML coding. Literally everything is at your fingertips to make a website easy.
What do you dislike about the product?
I’ve had both the free version and paid version, and I understand with the free version you need ads, I just wish that you could have a shorter URL it just doesn’t look very professional.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I’ve been able to put my inventory status right into the website so that when someone orders something it will show out of stock once it’s been bought. No more apology emails to customers who bought the same things.
