Excellent place to create your own website for free

Not very suitable if you want more than just basic features

When a business is launched, to use Wix for website building is excellent. Its free, and ads are not annoying. The templates can be very business like so people take you seriously.

Excellent to do your first website. It is a great tool to use for first phase implementation

Wix makes designing my website easy and so professional. I love that I can design my site to uniquely highlight my business.

Adding products is somewhat difficult to figure out. However the Help center answers all your concerns

I liked the fact you could pick a template and the wizard made it easy to walk through the setup.

Once you select a template it would great if it were easier to change around sections that did not seem to align with what I was trying to accomplish.

I like it for landing pages, as you can rapidly develop a page for individuals to leave their e-mail address. You can then even send out the e-mails all from the contractor, so you do not require a different e-mail service like Mailchip. It likewise provides a great variety of tools to personalize the areas and adjust it to your requirements.

There are times when this program does not upgrade rapidly or the totally free services stop working and I need to upgrade them. We frequently experience this the totally free banner & complimentary calendar combination.

If you are a bit of an expert, the product seems a bit basic. You cant edit the HTML of the site. It is not really "open".

With WIX I am able to create a website in simple steps. Its a great solution for new users, but for people with deeper knowledge there are better options.

Ease of building a brand new site, great templates as well, management tools. The pre made template are beautiful and aesthetically pleasing.

Takes a while to learn but they have great starter tools, web building is never easy. Can feel a bit overwhelming with all features.

Website for blog, mainly getting content out and centralizing it to one place.
Easy - Great for Small Businesses
What do you like best about the product?
This platform is very interactive and you don't have to code ANYTHING at all. This is great for small businesses who don't have the thousands of dollars to hire someone to make a website for them. There are a lot of tutorials and the help you get through their support is top-notch and organized. AND it automatically saves the progress for you so you don't lose anything you've changes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes there are bugs that occur - and links to the blog took a while to show up. But those things were fixed in the end and now everything on the website we have works perfectly.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used to have an old website with outdated information, hosted by a third party web developer who didn't update anything. With Wix, it now has a modern look, functions perfectly, and we manage it in house to update whenever we want to.

If you like highly customization, perhaps Wix isn't the best for you to incorprate coding. They do have the ability to input code now, though, so you can still try it out to see if it meets your best needs.

Wix has been my go-to source for website development for almost 5 years. Aside from the diverse amount of features I can use to spice up my website, what I appreciate most about Wix is the user-friendly vibe I get when logging in.
As I work with artists, I definitely need a website that will help in displaying the best of their work. Wix is perfect because of its gallery features and image editing.

What do you dislike about the product?
What I dislike most about Wix are the wait times when saving the website. At times, it will load for more than 5 minutes (and no, it is not my Internet). This is the only complaint I have, but it's one that has frustrated me time and time again.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Wix solves the problems I have of a user-friendly website, something visually appealing and attractive to the customer base I am attempting to reach. The benefits have been far-reaching, and Wix continues to help define my company's online presence.

If you are considering Wix, try out their free features first to determine whether it is the right fit for you! It was one of the better choices I made.
