Proactive Risk Monitoring, Minor Notification Overload
What do you like best about the product?
I appreciate how Dataminr allows me to monitor even minor local disturbances that could compromise my team's health or safety, especially as an operation leader with teams in multiple locations across India. It has significantly enabled a shift in our security policy from reactive salvage operations to proactive risk prevention steps, which is crucial for staying ahead of potential threats. I find it faster at detecting potential risk situations compared to other products like Feedly, which is vital for managing safety and productivity. Furthermore, Dataminr plays an essential role in keeping my team members safe by alerting me to events that might disrupt productivity or employee safety. This proactive approach in monitoring enhances our preparedness and response to unforeseen events.
What do you dislike about the product?
I sometimes experience information overload with Dataminr, as there are too many notifications that need to be filtered out. Additionally, I find that the customization options could be more intuitive, which would enhance my ability to tailor the platform to my specific needs.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dataminr helps me monitor threats and risks, keeping my team safe by proactively preventing disruptions and ensuring awareness of events affecting productivity and safety.

What do you like best about the product?
Dataminr enables us to quickly identify market risks and industry news, allowing us to respond more rapidly and maintain an edge over our competitors.
What do you dislike about the product?
While Dataminr is powerful for real-time alerts, it can sometimes produce too many notifications, including irrelevant events, which may overwhelm users and require careful filtering.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dataminr assists us in identifying early market opportunities and potential risks. It provides timely alerts about industry developments, competitor activities, and supply chain disruptions. This allows Jiuta to respond more quickly and make well-informed business decisions.

What do you like best about the product?
Using Dataminr has really helped us see incidents around the world and help increase the speed in which we measure direct or indirect impact.
The new Real-Time Intelligence that is still in Beta has been super helpful in consolidating information right at the top of an event, which saves a lot of time in collecting data and combining it for distribution. Its able to add information as new event updates come in and has been incredibly helpful - particularily during the recent bridge collapse in Baltimore.
Event history to help inform and build patterns for planning.
Developing feeds to support our business partners is really easy and makes for a helpful way to develop bespoke monitoring.
The team that supports our account has been great at helping us customize alerts to cut down on noise and build advanced alerts for custom monitoring.
The App is great as well as it provides me with almost all of the info I need near me as well as what could impact the business (through our feeds).

What do you dislike about the product?
Setting up Dataminr requires some time committment from the end user to really customize it. If you don't dedicate this time, you will not have a great experience.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Dataminr helps with awareness internationally as well as providing information that may get reported up through silos instead of directly to the Crisis management team. This speeds up the response we can put together as an enterprise, so one business is not trying to solution a problem while the information is going from email to email or channel to channel.

Integrating our physical location proximity to events is a work in progress however the team is working hard to bridge that gap.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Providing real time inteligence of critical events for risk mitigation and response.

What do you like best about the product?
Dataminr has been a valuable tool for our organization and the recent addition of AI has saved valuable minutes in crucial situations. The ability to quickly summarize an incident as an analyst is extremely helpful due to the sheer amount of information received on a specific security event.

The lack of real time flight tracking for our assests.

Compiling large amounts of information in a simple interface.

The language filter is very helpful, as well as the active alerting systems

The platform is not very intuitive and i would like the map function to have more real-time alerts or more protest mapping capabilities.

Active threats and real-time altering. It has overcome language barrier issues.
Excellent Tools for Monitoring Events
What do you like best about the product?
The real-time alerts are quick and the app is very easy to navigate.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometime the alerts are not sorted by relevance or sourced checked (e.g. new media vs. a tweet)

I used it to monitor different incidents (fires, severe weather etc.) in local areas.

the cost of the product because when I have conversations with my leadership team cost is always a concern for them
