What do you like best about the product?
I was given the hackerearth assesments by various companies as the first round of shortlisting and it has questions related to different proogramming languages like SQL and Python and also had few MCQ. All of this integrated in a single assesment and evrything worked flawlessly.
What do you dislike about the product?
i don't have any negatives on the platform. It is simple and powerful.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I think initially recruiters get a lot of application for a job posting and it helps in shortlisting

A decade of accessible and practical learning

What do you like best about the product?
I have used HackerEarth starting 2013. This was during a time that codeforces, kattis, codechef, l33tcode and similar online judges were the rave of all programmers who would want to develop their programming portfolio. I have found HackerEarth assessments unique because the problems are practical and have greater applicability especially since it was at the time not afraid to publish really beginner problems and discuss in its editorials really basic programming concepts. My sense was because the other online judge platforms were trying to compete on being the best they focused on making their assessments cutting edge, HackerEarth stuck too the roots of programming knowledge and delivered scaffolding on their basics making it a nice tool for beginners to reach the point where they can start being helpful in projects and start creating value in the teams they belong to.
What do you dislike about the product?
As per experience with hosting programming competitions since 2013, most problem setters don't really abide by the deadline for sending their problems so it could be published in the competition/assessment. A robust way to add problems to an already running instance of an assessment/competition will allow the flexibility that adapts to what's really happening on the ground. Sending 3+ followups to senior faculty/devs to send in their problems is not a pleasant experience :)
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HackerEarth offers a quick way to assess the skills of students and interns en masse, giving me more time to focus on the important stuff like actually looking at their dev potential as teammates, leaders and problem solvers. Programming is a tool and HackerEarth makes the tool invisible so we can put the correct priorities front and center i.e. solving the problem for clients and ourselves, actually creating stuff and not wasting more time than necessary on meetings/training, etc.

Once the product walkthrough is done, it very easy to use. Most of the things are self explanatory and no issues have been raised on the useage of the platform for the tests.

There are multiple features that can be used. I understand its based on the plan, however, these points have been taken into consideration.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Im using the product for screening of IT Fresher students for our Campus Recruitment. Now we are extending it to Engineering Interns.

Best platform for both recruiters and interviewees

  • January 17, 2024
  • Review provided by G2

What do you like best about the product?
The best part of hackerEarth s its easy to use interface, often we students get overwhelmed when attending the online assesment and this user interface helps us calm down and focus on the problem better, Moreover the customer support of hackerEarth is really good and easily approachable. The frequency of use of hackerEarth was very high compared to other platforms during our campus recruitment drives mainly because of the Number of features the platform posseses and its ease of integration on online teams interview.
What do you dislike about the product?
The downsides i felt about hackerEarth was the issues such as code saving during question switching or locking options in multiple choice questions,. there used to be errors in such cases and a few bugs which did tense us, but the customer support was really good in this case.
also the platform is not the best when considering practicing for the online assesment compared to other platforms like LeetCode or CodeChef but the best for Online assesments.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
HackerEarth is providing a uniform platform to evaluate interviewees in their technical skills, the way we are benifitted is by the quality of questions which are testing our problem solving skills. Hence it provides a great interface for both recruiters and intervieews, also the main issue a intervieewee is faces is being flagged as malpractice due to an unexpected error from the system during the assesment,, in that case, the Customer Support of HackeEarth was really supportive and helpful and provided us with immediate solutions.
