Customizable and timely sales data

What do you like best about the product?
Different search results to customize the reports based on specific sales attributes. Being able to save reports and share your reports with coworkers across your enterprise is a very nice feature. You can also look at and compare sales data for any facility in your enterprise with ease.

What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes the system will freeze when running large sales reports. I would also like for the system to be able to auto run reports that I look at daily and email the reports when available.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Gross margins impacts on non productive inventory
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If your looking for a reporting system that will let you look at different aspects of sales reporting this system will allow you to do this. It will also allow you to view sales across your Enterprise and allow individual users to save and share reports with their coworkers.

Great reporting software, from simple to complex

What do you like best about the product?
I'm not technical enough to do the super fancy stuff, but our Microstrategy admin can do some amazing things with this tool. He makes dashboards that link to other reports, add visualizations, and do calculations in the background, custom filters, and so much more. We use this everyday in the business and is the lifeblood of all reporting.
What do you dislike about the product?
I dislike the fact that it isn't as user friendly as say Salesforce or something like that. I sometimes have to rely on the admin to help me with more complex reports or filters. It can also be a bit slow due to the amount of data we have, but that's more of a data problem.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
All of our reporting needs go through Microstrategy. We use this for internal and external reporting and can trust the numbers it provides. We also hook it up to other systems to feed in data and it works great. Once the reports are built it runs flawlessly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a dedicated admin then this is a great tool. It's possible to make it user friendly and just load up all the filters you might ever need and do a training session and let it go, but the real power comes from the advanced dashboard features and some of the advanced filters.

MicroStrategy is Good tool than other BI tool, but it is difficult.

What do you like best about the product?
Performances of Report or Document are good.
This tool has data discovery tool even enterprise BI.
I think good point of some kind of MicroStrategy objects are shared each other.
So, we can decrease costs of making report.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are lot of points of some kinds of setting. We can’t understand all of them.
I can’t control source management. If we want to recover report that made few days ago,
We have to recover from backup metadata, it is difficult for us.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We can create reports and execution report with good performance.
Our report creation time less 80% than before.

What do you like best about the product?
Power of Mobile BI, Embedded Analytics capabilities, Scalability, Best for Enterprise Reporting, Organic growth - all products are integrated, Single Metadata, Reusability of the objects across projects, Dashboards
What do you dislike about the product?
There is not an integrated budget and planning software, perception for ease of use. Customers know the old usage. They do not have awareness with the new capabilities regarding Self Service BI and data visualisation.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Mobile BI, embedded analytics, Repeatable solutiıons.

Embedded solutions integrated with R having transactional capabilities.

Business efficiency.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
You can meet most of your requirements with only MicroStrategy. Best for Mobile. Best for Enterprise Standard BI. Most scalable.

What do you like best about the product?
first, it is more powerful than BO, building your dashboards and reports on mobile and tablets, is giving the management fast and easy access whenever and wherever they want

it is not easy to learn it at beginning specially if used to work on other tools

What do you like best about the product?
Easy of use, speed of implementation. SQL friendly.
What do you dislike about the product?
Upfront cost in the beginning, but Microstrategy Desktop can help in this.

What do you like best about the product?
Creating attributes in order to create reports, which allows me to create dashboards using both.
What do you dislike about the product?
Login process on Mobile app for more than one project. We should be able to login, THEN see our available projects, not to see all projects then login.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Food quality assurance. Hardware set point management.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Be careful if wanting to use this specifically for multiple projects using Mobile devices. When you have more than one project on Mobile, the app shows all projects then you login and authenticate to what you are allowed to view. Should really have you login, then see your authenticated projects.

What do you like best about the product?
What I like the most is its improvement regarding self-service.
What do you dislike about the product?
What I like least is the complexity with which the reports are formatted; it's not too obvious.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Many problems have been resolved in general.

What do you like best about the product?
Virtually every element is configurable. The SQL Engine is quite robust and efficient. The availability of a web API for total customization is invaluable.
What do you dislike about the product?
The endless configuration options are as much a detriment as a feature. There always seems to be some check-box that we forgot to check to get something as simple as sub-totaling to work correctly. Additionally, the support is abysmal and while there appears to be a vast community of users online everyone seems to be on older versions that are quite different than the current/latest version.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were looking to add a platform for interactive dashboards and self service reporting. Still working on implementation so no benefits have been realized yet.
