What do you like best about the product?
It's ability to subscribe reports and send them to various people automatically. One report but several views/pivots.
What do you dislike about the product?
I use Web version of Microstrategy. I really like to have desktop version.
Not very many people are familiar with Microstrategy. So, I feel it is very much under-utilised.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
My organisation uses Microstrategy for BI and Finance reporting-linking to ERP system. I look at only the Finance reporting part of it.
Speed is one of the main aspect in my organisation. This is achieved by using some reporting views at low level and complicated reports are being created using cubes.

Actual single metadata and product that has all functions (No merging with outside product except Narrowcast)

No support drilling outside from Visual Insight with Cube.

Single MD and product has lots of benefit to support for daily basis BI System.

the functionality of visualization. It's not always easily use and user friendly. The cost of the license is somehow higher than it's competitors
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
It is a stable, reliable platform. With strong functionality. Performance is very good.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Find the correct developer and admin. Microstrategy has a lot of potentiality and their API for SDK is friendly. But it's better to hire someone not only familiar with the tool, but also has strong background of Data warehouse to develop better solution

I find everything just right with tool if you consider a fully fledged Enterprise reporting capability both for operational and business use.
They need to work on pricing compared to other niche players in this space.

Business users often want the agility and flexibility to build their own reports and dashboards without relying on the team of Developers. MicroStrategy Visual Insight – a fully integrated component of the MicroStrategy

What do you like best about the product?
I'm very happy with the new HTML5 capabilities, the increased performance, and the D3 integration. On top of that, there's a whole lot of improvements and innovations that make an already great tool even better.
What do you dislike about the product?
The gap in editing capabilities between dashboards (Visual Insight) and and documents (formerly known as dashboards) is smaller than in the past, but still somewhat bothersome.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Quick prototyping, agile approach, high re-usability.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
MicroStrategy is an incredibly robust platform. It has you covered up, beginning with a stellar semantic layer and security, taking you all the way to beautiful, meaningful, and actionable dashboards.

Incorporates the best of both worlds in Business Intelligence reporting; Easy to use, self-service analytics for business users, and Full-feature reporting solution for IT.

No major dislikes of the product to-date.
Only minor concern is that some the education courses could be more polished. But, the fact that they have a complete education curriculum and certification program is a plus.

Currently only in early stages of development and implementation.
However, we have been able to quickly replace some existing, problematic Excel reports, pivot tables, and graphs with solutions that work and provide an attractive presentation.
We are working on implementations of Advanced Insurance metrics dashboards, reports and graphs.

What do you like best about the product?
We are using Microstrategy in our activity in order to have a complete image in our business decision making. We appreciate the Microistrategy platform due to its flexibility, capabilities and functionalities.
What do you dislike about the product?
They have plenty of tutorials on their website but sometimes is hard to find.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are creating reports, dashboards in order to have an accurate image of our business. Through Microstrategy Business Intelligence, we are now being able to take decisions in real time, to respond to accounting errors in due time.
