Top-tier quality for mid-tier pricing
What do you like best about the product?
Hevo is extremely easy to use and flexible - it has all the features you could want, including pre and post-load transformations, it's no-code ETL but with the option to code it, and it has a great array of connectors available. It's essentially Fivetran with more features and at a fraction of the price.
What do you dislike about the product?
There are 2 things I dislike: firstly, the destination settings are a bit janky and require you to set up a new database destination every time you want to send data to a different schema. Secondly, the events-based pricing (rather than rows loaded) is annoying and sometimes leads you to quickly use up your quota on connectors you don't really care about. For instance, Facebook and Google Ads involve regular row updates, meaning you have to either set them to very infrequent load schedules (e.g. 24hrs) or move them across to another provider (as in our case).
I wish they gave the option to just not update rows once they're loaded, but overall it's not enough to ruin the experience.

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Getting data from A to B in the right format. We've experimented with other tools but this one is by far the most reliable, well-supported and reasonably priced we've come across.

After 6 months of usage, Hevo covered all our needs
What do you like best about the product?
Nice platform, easy to use, with a qualitative documentation, and a very helpful and reactive support
What do you dislike about the product?
Some error messages could maybe be more precise to help understand how to fix our problems, and the ability to track the progress of the ingestion (instead of just ingesting/ingested status)

We needed to aggregate several data sources to our data warehouse, which Hevo covers perfectly

What do you like best about the product?
They have good customer support combining chat and email was an excellent feature and the response time is also reasonable.

there is nothing that I dislike, everything seems to be fine.

its helping us to collect app events
Logical Replication feature offered by Hevo Data is useful while working with Postgres data sources
What do you like best about the product?
Hevo data gives us the capabilities to create custom data integration scripts & build our data architecture using its pre-built connectors. These pre-built data connectors also support a large number of data sources which gives us great convenience while working with multiple client requirements. It also makes our data engineers focus more on the insights rather than other configurations & integrations which saves a lot of our time.
What do you dislike about the product?
We faced difficulties in a few use cases in which we had to replicate the pre-existing pipeline with some minor stage parameter changes. It is not possible to clone any pipeline which is already present in our production environment. Because of this, we need to raise a change request every time we need to replicate a specific pipeline. This goes through building a pipeline from scratch and its approval from clients which is a tedious & time-consuming process. It would be great if the pipeline duplication feature is introduced for our feasibility.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We often faced issues while trying to pull more data to our data warehouse as it took plenty of time for setting up the data source & AWS environment. With the help of Hevo Data, we can easily perform integrations from a multitude of data sources within a few clicks which gives me more time to focus on customer procurements & business regulations. While handling Data Built tools, we make use of its DBT package for its corresponding data connectors in order to obtain the required data models.

Hevo does not allow to drop data in the ingestion phase.

Moving data from our data source into our DWH in order to manipulate the data.
Hevo works well for our demands, so we can ingest all data we need at one place.

It is really easy and intuitive to use the platform.

It would be nice to know how many events are left to be ingested.

Sometimes, some schemas are not automapped correctly, so need to be mapped manually

Hevo team is really supportive and responsive. The platforn is really easy to use and support python interface.

There are some design changes required to capture sample events properly in case of failure.

It is helping us to capture real time data from different sources and allows us to transform it.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I have already recommended a few folks about Hevo Data. I think it has almost all the features required for extracting, transforming and loading the data to the destination.
Easy to get started, but not operationally ready
What do you like best about the product?
Easy to get started and onboarded. Wide support for data sources and integrations with other services. Hevo pricing is pretty comparable to other services giving it a low barrier to entry from a budget perspective
What do you dislike about the product?
Breaking Software updates are frequent with no communication or forwarning often breaking or requiring pipelines to be reconfigured. Alert support is terrible and only a firehose with no filtering options to manage priority and routing. UI is kind of convoluted. Support is slow and pretty much nonexistent during business hours. The service has frequent issues which make alerting shortfalls an even more painful issue.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are using Hevo to move data from mongo, postgres, salesforce, freshdesk, and other business services into BigQuery to be used for reporting and business intelligence.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Evaluate other alternatives after quick setup it becomes hard to maintain.
Hevo's no code policy makes it very easy and reliable.

Ability to handle deletion in CDC mode..
