Straightforward, but limited UI
What do you like best about the product?
We use Bloomreach for site search and its pretty straightforward and simple to use. The interface is intuitive. Their support team is responsive and knowledgeable. When its working properly, our setting take less than 30 minutes to reflect to our customers.
What do you dislike about the product?
The interface is somewhat limited in terms of functionality. We have also found that search term synonyms, redirects, etc that we set up will sometimes just not work. The interface shows they are set up correctly, but they are clearly not working on the front end of our site. About every other month, I have to contact their support team about something we set up that isn't working and they take care of it from their end. We also question how well some of their more advanced features work. They said their bots crawl the web each night to find cultural relevance to trending search terms, but I have yet to see evidence of this.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We were using the stock site search tool with our CMS prior to bringing in Bloomreach and its definitely way easier and has more capabilities than that. We have much better analytics and reporting and its been a relief to have an account manager helping us with site search, vs. random team members managing in house.

Not much, report creation sometimes feels a little unintuitive.

Many new use cases are suddenly few clicks away from implementing.
Great tool that allows our marketing team to be independent
What do you like best about the product?
Exponea connects multiple online marketing tools into a single instrument, thus allowing us to be independent of a data department and other analytics tools. We simply need a graphic designer and marketer who are able to send custom emails, assign credits with scenarios, or create complex reactivation campaigns based on data. With extensive analytics we are able to monitor A/B test results, reach, and other performance metrics of each activity in real-time.
What do you dislike about the product?
We would welcome more presentations on new features, as well as other successful case studies, with high quality results in conversion and/or revenue uplift. Each client listens to numbers and looks for inspiration to help them. The most demanding aspect is the evaluation of scenarios and weblayers, we would need more training and examples from practice.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
The most valuable benefit of using Exponea is the independence that a marketing team has, away from an IT department. We can set all marketing acitivites, like banners or emails, test and evaluate them. It is also very important to us to have the ability to monitor the performance in real-time and quickly react to the data with banner variants, changing CTA texts, or other retention and reactivation activities.

Great Marketing automation tool with the machine learning features directly included in product
What do you like best about the product?
How easy was to integrate Exponea Solution with our company software and data, but the most exciting part was the marketing automation capabilities of the product. From campaigns management, to web layers and the surrounding machine learning features that range from recommendation to prediction engine. We got from project idea to first campaign up and running in just 1 month. Great value.
What do you dislike about the product?
Nothing, the product evolves very quickly, so any gaps in functionality are being addressed by the Exponea development team in a very agile fashion. Even after 6 months we are still not using 100% of what Exponea has to offer, but the features that we do use drive 95% of the benefit.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Triggered personalized communication, recommendation of the right product at the right time to the right customer both in email and on the web. Customer base segmentation. The conversion rate of those people that we address through Exponea is on average by more than 30% higher compared to the control group that we are leaving out, so we can measure LIFT impact of using versus NOT using Exponea tooling.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you are looking for marketing automation product, you should give Exponea a try. The proof of concept with impact measurement could be done in 1 - 2 months and Exponea offers money back guarantee. We did NOT utilize the guarantee, as we were very satisfied with the pilot project and now we are running Exponea in 2 countries and across 4 brands and we are preparing to expand to 2 additional countries by year end.
Young company with an incredible marketing tool and amazing support
What do you like best about the product?
Amazing support during integration, but also in training and helping to get the most out of the tool. Very fast integration, incredible depth in the product and flexibility for analysis/setting up campaigns and easy to use vs other tools I've used in the past.
What do you dislike about the product?
Unfamiliar company in the UK market, so took extra convincing during the pitch process to establish their credentials/credibility, but having worked with them for a couple of months I have no doubts they will be very well known soon! Tool is not 100% there yet, they are still building in some areas which are needed to be a complete solution, but does everything we need at our level of marketing maturity and does it very well.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Replacing a cumbersome and restrictive CRM platform, with something much more agile and automated. So far we have dramatically reduced the manual work for deploying multiple customized campaigns across different territories, enabling the team to focus on coming up with much more creative campaigns in the first place. This speed of deployment also allows for much more flexibility in reacting to competition. Testing has also gone from an incredibly long winded process, to something which we can have running in the background the whole time.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't be put off by the lack of brand awareness in the market, they are an extremely young company and growing fast. Their desire to constantly improve and demonstrate their value, means they are incredibly proactive in suggesting campaigns/tools and the product continues to build the number of features each month, so I would say take advantage of this!

It's hard to do a deep dive into the data. Most options present total site demand generation rather than drilling down to specific category generation.

As a Data Analyst I work directly with Exponea on a daily basis and relatively fast became an advanced user.
I value Exponea for fast updates in production; the system grows dynamically literaly every week. Moreover, almost every week I discover a new functionality. UX is top notch and the tool is intuitive and easy to use. When we talk about Exponea, I would suggest the word “deep data” instead of “big data”. The tool provides scalable insights and high-quality actionable information about users.

I would improve guidelines. It is too high-level and general for an online expert or data analytics person. Detailed documentation and practical use of new features is much appreciated.

I use mostly the analytics modul, where we focus on high-level data reporting for management; detailed use-cases reports and real-time user activity tracking and monitoring. Working with real-time data saves us time for faster decision making.

I like that Exponea is a complete ecosystem for my performance marketing needs, from analysis to customer engagement. It also works great for lead generation

New features are constantly being added to the tool, which is great, but sometimes in the process there are changes to existing features, e.g,. in the UX, and I have to re-learn what I already knew how to do.

Increasing sales through our eshop and generating leads. We are getting better at increasing customer flow from the cart to checkout, and we have nearly doubled the number of leads we generate while maintaining their quality

Exponea- great tool for marketing campaigns, analyzes and segmentation.
What do you like best about the product?
We use Exponea as the platform, where we can control all our marketing efforts, lead flows and activities. Once you have arranged all the triggered campaigns and scenarios, the main part is done. After that we are able to analyze the performance from top of the funnel all the way to conversions. The preparation of newsletter campaigns is simple and smooth. The deliverability functionality provides flexible amount of control and we are sure emails get delivered. Users also gets to see the coding behind the customization. Set-up of pop-up banners is easy to make and helps simplify processes.
What do you dislike about the product?
Exponea might be tough to learn, so make sure you have employees who can learn technology quickly and are able to use the full potential of advanced use cases. Also, there is a small user community at the moment.
