Exponea - useful tool for marketing agency
What do you like best about the product?
The scenario designer for visualizing complex marketing
automation journeys. I also like their reporting and customizable
dashboards.

You don’t have to be html master, however you should know
HTML/CSS basics while working with advanced custom email templates

What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
Our basic business problems are generating revenue and
optimizing the results depending on marketing campaigns. Exponea is
able to align with the goals in our industry. We use it to help
drive new purchases, new subscriptions, and sales and as a part of
content delivery seasonal campaigns.

What do you like best about the product?
Exponea is super easy to use by business people - I mean those who don't have IT background. This is critically important because you either have business guy who is not able to write requests and code or you have an IT guy whose business sense is limited. Using Exponea is cheaper and quicker than finding a guy combining both characteristics.
What do you dislike about the product?
When you are used to work in google analytics it takes some time to get used to how Exponea works.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We are standing in front of the task how to monetize high volume of traffic on t-mobile.cz. Thanks to web personalization, behavior bases weblayers and lead generation we managed to multiple our sales value in few months.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Just give it a chance and try it. Don't fall in lies of interal development team saying they can build it in house... they can't. And if yes, by the time they build it Exponea will be already elsewhere :)

Working with templates (it was also possible to integrate BeeFree tool)

Missing auto-saved option when working in some project

For istance, using weblayers is a quite nice tool to make business more effective

What do you like best about the product?
Every analytical tool measure various parameters but as a Exponea customer you get live person who help you with initial setting, creating dashboards for business goals and on demand find and export every data you need. I can focus on dates and charts, not on the tool itself. Exponea not only measures stats of our service, it also save me a lot of time.
What do you dislike about the product?
User interface is little bit messy. Without support is difficult to find right information. It takes time to learn how to use application. For getting maximum from Exponea, you definitely need customer support.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
As a designer of travel application I have to measure behavior of app and ways how users using our app. Primary goal is to rise sales through improve app interface. Exponea provide us many valuable information about both customers and application.

What do you like best about the product?
It's easy to use, you can create a nice graph in an instant, send an email campaign with different conditions, the customer support is really supportive and very helpful.
What do you dislike about the product?
Sometimes, when I have too many Exponea windows opened, it is really slow. There are also some design bugs, but they can be (and I believe will be) quickly fixed.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
I'm using it every day for pretty much everything - analysis of customers' behavior on our web page, sales analysis, monitoring of conversion rate and bounce rate, marketing campaigns... Exponea beautifully complements our databases and other tools that are used in Analytics team. Besides that, it is an irreplaceable tool for our Marketing team. As for the benefits, I like how easy it is to create nice and neat reports and funnels. Also, when you send emails from Exponea, there is a native HTML builder, it's quite easy to use and you can put there many detailed conditions.

Most of our online activities are linked in with Exponea. We can easily use the triggers, filters and funnels to get the right audience for a specific campaign. It provides endless possibilities, from the way you build a campaign to every details of the campaign. You can customize almost everything virtually in any way you want. Their focus is mainly on conversion and retention. Exponea has many integrations with industry leaders and rich API. That allows us to easily fit into anyone’s workflow.

First of all, you should understand that any marketing automation tool is going to enlarge the quality of your underlying marketing strategy. If the strategy is right and strong, you should see more positive results. If not, marketing automation will ensure your poor program is more widely communicated, but probably without better results. Think about your marketing strategy before choosing the marketing automation tool. Don’t forget about data quality. Plan to spend some time on cleaning your database and prepare it for the marketing automation, segmentation and content strategy creation.

UI sometimes needs to be improved, but generally good

We track app usage. engagement, conversion rates, keep rate. It is also possible to track app uninstalls which is not very common.

The way how easy am I able to launch the campaign and how easy is to get the reliable results.

The price is too high for some business purposes :) But it`s possible to agree on the custom pricing.

Much more easy for handling than other products on market. Plus, the outputs are very nice by default and does not require your additional effort to tweak the design.

What do you like best about the product?
I have been working with Exponea since the beginning of 2017. It's a critical tool we use in our business to target specific customer segments, to track and evaluate our emailing performance, to trigger SMS campaigns and much more. Exponea provides into depth capabilities for extracting customer insights that we use in our marketing campaigns and most specifically emailing campaigns. Exponea has lots of capabilities that allow you to extract a wide variety of reports and its integration with our systems provides an easy workflow for us.
One of the most appreciated aspects for us has been the support received from the Exponea contact points. Every time we wanted to try something new, or wanted to find an answer to a problem/question, the support received has been always timely and on point. Thumbs up!

What do you dislike about the product?
Along the time, we experienced many down times of the tool, so this is an aspect that can be improved. Also, there are several aspects related to the user experience that can improve the time spent on using the tool from our side. In the same time, related to the Exponea emailing capabilities, (the way an email template is built in Exponea) this can improve also.
What problems is the product solving and how is that benefiting you?
We used Exponea especially for the malining campaigns (and here we used the AB testing capabilities, tracking performance, targeting specific customers and extracting specific customers from the tool), for implementing web layers in our website, sending SMS campaigns to our users. For sure we will discover more capabilities that we can use in the near future.
